Does anyone else find it strange that the UB client now screenscrapes and logs keystrokes? And it does that even when I'm not playing, like if I have a lobby open. To me that's somewhat invasive considering that I might be also doing other stuff on the computer that I don't necessarily want to share with Cereus staff. What do others think about it?

How did you find out that UB is logging keystrokes?

I found out because yesterday after the update from UB, Kaspersky has been reporting keylogger four times, every time after starting the UB client. This is the first time I've seen Kaspersly report a keylogger after months of using the UB client.

I was wondering the same thing. I use different virus protection software that alerts me when sites or applications are trying to log my keystrokes or other activity (IE...malicious ware)....it flagged UB right off the bat after yesterday's update. I work in the software industry and remembered having a conversation with a development manager saying that this kind of monitoring is illegal? Is it? I know UB and other poker sites have some rights to protect their gaming policy, but is this stepping over the line? Just curious.

Another update today, anyone wanna run this through the scanner and see what you get?

FWIW I clicked "deny access" on the SnoopFree popup telling me UB client was trying to read my screen, and I immediately got kicked out with a msg box telling me my account was suspended for security review.

Here's the mail I got from them :

VIP Host: No, actually this will only block the third party applications. Some anti viruses might recognize the new security tool in the game application as a thread, but it’s not. It’s completely secure and it helps us prevent the players from using any software

VIP Host: Exactly, please do not worry about it. Everything is completely safe

VIP Host: There will be an official statement shortly which will surely clear out any doubt that you may have.

You know when some of you guys ask what else has happened there aside from the cheating scandals? Yeah, this is a perfect example of the kind of stupid crap they pull all the time.

So I frequently have the Windows application "calc.exe" running while playing on Stars and FTP... is this not okay if I decided to start playing again on AP/UB?
