That is a valid point. Yet we know that federal government is slow and awkward. It worked in our favor for a long while, as it took them years to put a seizure order on the UMW transfers. Now it works against us as it will likely take them a while to stop this order, I even doubt they will stop it at all.

We can only guess how this order works. And we can only hope it is specifically targeted on a particular large US bank which served as an intermediary in prior transfers.

I guess I am just preparing for the worst, hoping for the best. Admittedly, I have no idea what they are capable of or willing to do. Hopefully it all works out for us. I only have 2k to risk, but if I had a lot more, I wouldn't be trying my US bank.

I sent my US bank information. It seemed like the only real option. My bank said they would take wire in EUROs and change to USD and deposit in my account. Keeping my finger crossed. I think money wired in USD may be seized but money wired in EUROs may not. I think it will take several days to find out. I will let you know what happens.
Hi TheRapper,

When did you request this withdrawal? And when did you get this confirmation email from QT? What's the turnaround time here? Which bank did you use? Thanks!

Thank you for contacting the QuickTender Settlement Department.

Your previous withdrawal has been processed but money has been accumulated in our bank's correspondent banking partners accounts in the US, and has been frozen. We suspect it is possible that these funds may be subject to a seizure order by the US authorities. We would stress that we do not have bank accounts in the US of our own, and that the funds have left our account Europe.

The money has been frozen in the US banking system, and unfortunately this is entirely beyond our control.

We are very sorry for the inconveniences this has caused and thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,

Stiffing pricks. Those guys made a fortune in the processing business and somehow dodged an indictment.

Disgusting.

You make filing a claim sound easy. It's not, and it may not be successful. Either way that wasnt an answer to my question.

I requested the cashout of 18.5k to my Ukraine bank account 2 days ago. The euro account is 100% legit since I live in Ukraine for the most part anyway. I will post any updates when they happen.

I'm more comfortable with people in this thread answering with their personal experience than inconsistent information on google.

this would be found money if I can get it. I am assuming everyone else is not able to access the UMW site, I have an email in and I hope that will get me access somehow. Have only read a few pages so far, maybe a few more will be enlightening.

Has anyone tried Interactive Brokers? If so, what did QT say??

My withdrawal has been on status "Ordered" for the past 4 days now.

Expecting it to be processed within the week I would assume, but you never know, could be a while.

Has anyone else that was locked out from their account not received an email from Quick Tender clearing up the situation? I've sent multiple messages via their "contact us" tab and I haven't gotten a response and my account is still locked.

When you "tried" EverBank, did you put in a request via "contact us" as per their email instructions, or did you just email them and ask?

I put it in the "contact us" section per the email instructions. They got back to me 2 days later saying they can't proceed with the wire due to the intermediary bank in London.

Their response:

Thank you for contacting the QuickTender Settlement Department.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to send your withdrawal to the provided bank account details since according to these instructions account holder with Lloyds Bank is EverBank World Markets and not you. Please bear in mind that third party withdrawals will not be processed.

Please feel free to contact us should you require any further assistance.

Try sending an email to "banking@quicktender.com" - I was having the same problem for over a week until I copied the banking email. In my case being locked out meant that my funds were part of the seizure according to the email I received.

Thanks for the help. Hope that actually works. My funds were "cleared" and just sitting in my account the last time I logged in successfully.

Thanks so much for the timely response. I was very curious if anyone actually got a denial. Now I know

FYI...I opened an Everbank account with Euros as well...thought for sure I was golden, only to receive a very similar email to what you posted here.

I have tried everything I know to no avail and am fresh out of ideas. What are you going to do next?

Well I'm hoping to hear from someone that withdrew to a US account have success. If that's the case I'll just withdraw to a US account that accepts international wires in Euros. If the people who withdrew to the US account don't have success I'm most likely going to fly to Canada and open a bank account there as someone in this forum posted earlier. I'm fairly sure any non-US account will be fine, EURO denominated or not.

But you're right, there literally is zero options for US citizens to open accounts outside of the US. They only way I've seen is you have to have very large sums of money (~100k) and can then go through HSBC.

Why couldn't QT simply write checks from whatever Euro-denominated account they have, mail them to customers, and let the customers deal with depositing them (depending on the customer's bank, might be ~$15 foreign-check conversion fee).

If that would work, might be worth trying to apply some group pressure / lawsuit-threat.

Well heres my story up to date.

Tried withdrawing to my euro account, since it was 3rd party was denied.

Then send them info to my us account, just changed the routing number with the swift/bic code. My bank is a major us bank and does accept wires in euros.

Qt emailed me back and said they want proof that this is a euro account? which i cant get as it is actually a us account that will take euro wires but the account is not actually in euros. They asked for a statement, might try photoshopping one changing the $ with a euro sign, might work have nothing to lose

Don't have any ideas left, there just trying to keep as much cash as they can, making it too hard for anyone to get there $ out.

If anyone has any other ideas would love to hear them
