Re: Sharkscope Now Officialy Banned On Pokerstars

I am sure PS will deny it but I wonder they are doing this to gently force SS to pay them a commission.

At any rate, this may be the impetus that I needed to get me to take my low limit action to FTP. Not because I want to SS others but I enjoy changing my playing style and seeing the results on SS. I know there are other ways to get this info but I am lazy. If I weren't lazy I might be able to play poker a little better.

Maybe if the fish would stop flopping two pair every time they call raises with Q-4s I would stop berating them.

I'm really surprised how anyone could be upset in any way about this.

Re: Sharkscope Now Officialy Banned On Pokerstars

someone from stars should really come and answer questions here. If i usually have the PS lobby open in the background and search for my own stats on sharkscope whilst not playing or looking at tables am i subject to a warning? Also any information about how Stars monitors this would be of general interest - is there a teamviewer like interface built into the software allowing them to see your screen or do they monitor what websites you are visiting?

Take a look at this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...2/#post6965781

Josem from Stars has posted multiple times in it, basically about this exact topic.

I limp push with Q4s and then flop 2 pair to beat good players that are retarded enough to put their whole tournament on the line with 1 pair.

What im pretty pissed about is that PS actually has put spyware on to my machine looking for something like sharkscope? I dont remember reading anything about PS installing spyware on my machine when I downloaded their program to make sure that I was "being a good honest poker player".

Oh, is that the idea? Please educate me about implied odds. I don't understand that concept at all and I just felt one pair into limped pots at 10/20 on a regular basis. Is that not good strategy?

Idiot.

This +1.

given what I found out last night about how they monitor and dedect Sharkscope, I would be very surprised if they do not monitor your instant messages and look for keywords.

If this helps promote game integrity then I am all for it. But if they are doing this under the cover with out disclosure and transparency, then they are almost as bad as the cheaters, ( I said almost, turn off the flame throwers), and open up more integrity holes that could be exploited by a rougue employee.

Well if they can see what site you are browsing than their employees can definitely see Stars software running, and what is stopping some of these "trustworthy" employees from doing same thing that happened on AP or UB.

Now there's a leap in logic.

nothing but the trust and confidence you place in each and everyone of their employees.

and the trust and confidence you place in their internal process to prevent this. problem is since, they work in complete darkness, nobody knows what they do, if anything.
