So that PRNG can produce about 20% of the possible permutations of an actual deck?

:/

Spoiler:
2^64 = 1.84467441e19

Spoiler:
52! = 8.06581752e67

Got RNG problems?

Dealing a random card from the cards left does not require a perfectly random shuffle of the entire deck.

Also 2^64 is not 20% of 52! its 0.000000000000000000000000000....0000000000000001% .

Obviously actually shuffling the entire deck with a single random number would be silly. You can just, each time you need to deal a card, use a new random number to pull randomly from whats left.

2 ^ 64 ^ 52 >> 52!.

In addition to the previously pointed out LOL misunderstanding of Scientific Notation ...

I kinda doubt that because ... (as that link continues ...)

A much better solution would be to use a cryptographic-quality random number generator with a much larger period.
I wonder what Briggs (SwC) uses ???

Sample size is far too small to draw any real conclusions off of it. FWIW, I'm running above EV in PLO Variance happens.

Is there a chance to get your account back if you forgot your password? Changed my "Uhranium" account password after the recent hassle some months ago and totally forgot what the new one was 8[

too small sample size to concluded anything. play 300,000 hands and lose thousands more then we will reevaluate.

I forgot mine at some point a while back and had my email address set. I just emailed support and they helped me out.

I think I've seen posts from people who lost it and did not have their email address set and support worked with them to confirm account ownership in other ways (maybe via ownership of bit coin deposit / cash out addresses, idk).

Anyways email support and you should be fine.

What could be the reason for having to enter your password and Google Auth twice in order to play?

Browser won't connect.

Not trying to conclude the RNG is faulty. Just bored when the servers went down yesterday and felt like posting a funny picture of Micon and complaining about my bad run.

In 2011 I had a run much worse than this. Near 300 BI under EV over an extended hell of a 12 month period. I'd moved down to NL100 to recover and it was over 30k just under EV.

Thx for the serious feedback though Fantaz....

sooo.. does it actually produce 52! permutations then?

Avg # tables: 50
Hands/hour: 100
Years til Death of the Sun: 5,000,000,000

Decks that would be dealt at the current rate before the Sun dies: 2.19E+17
52! = 8.06E+67

Even if everyone on the planet was 24 tabling non-stop till the earth is destroyed, only 9.12E-41% (thats 0.00000....0000912% with 41 zeros) of all possible hands would have been dealt.

Even a computer simulation producing a trillion decks/second would only remove 4 zeros from that number.

So no, no poker system will ever actually produce 52! permutations.

If I cash out directly to some wallet site, do I have to worry about the coins not going back into my account if the xfer bounces for some reason? In other words, is it a best practice to cashout to my local wallet first, or does this not matter?

If it's your wallet is yours doesn't matter where it goes. 34 digit code is a 34 digit code no matter if online, local, etc. BTC transfers never get bounced per say. Obviously make sure the code is correct first.

Since my identity is being challenged on SWC, I'm being accused of being Lux, I just want to come out and say that offDahizzy is an idiot.

Anyone who wants to confirm that I am who I say I am need only ask and I will validate across any number of very very old internet accounts.

"createRG too many" prevents me from starting new tables pretty much every night. There are often 3+ people in every 6-max waitlist, is there now way for you guys to up the number of allowed tables?

Usually there aren't that many games even running. It seems like this is just costing you money.
03-19-2014 , 09:24 AM
i cant open tables either, but it seems like some can cuz a few do pop up sometimes, idk its weird

also i think evilgreenbo is someone other than himself also ;-)

So if I cash out, the coins will be sent from the same address as my Seals cash-in address? Just want to make sure there isn't some tricky internal accounting thing going on with a Seals "general fund" or w/e in case the wallet I'm sending decides to send back for some reason (and yes, some wallets have done that before).

So how often do they run US equivalent of $1/2 and higher at this site for no limit holdem?
