Re: Run it twice

your post is very non-specific, but assuming you are talking about Full Tilt, I'm curious about this too.

Has anybody used run-it-twice on full tilt yet? if so, how was rake calculated?
1. Full rake taken off top. Then remainder split into 2 halves for the 2 winners
2. Pot split in 2, half rake taken from each half pot at 5% up to max $1.50 each (half of max)
3. Pot split in 2, normal rake taken from each half pot at 5% up to max $3.

obv 1 and 2 would be fine and have no affect on the game. 3 would be pretty bad and make it a huge mistake to run it twice

Re: Run it twice

Pretty sure its:

Max rake increased from $3 to $4, rake taken, split if needed.

Must suck to stack a guy when you have the nuts and end up donating another $1 to rake because of this "feature".

I'm not a NL player, but don't both players have to click and agree to run that hand twice once allin? you wouldn't bother agreeing to run it twice if you had the nuts.

Re: Run it twice

you have to click it before the hand is dealt for it to apply

that's unfortunate. this 'feature' is unlikely to be used very often at mid-stakes.

When it trickles down to the micros, where all-in's are still below the $3 rake anyway, it will probably be more common.

I believe this is false.

True. But by running it twice, you are basically saving $2. Because you are running it twice to help with variance. So instead of playing 'the same' pot on 2 different occasions at $3 max rake each time, you do it once for $4.

(Assuming 100bb stacks)

If I play two hands and win them both, I win 200bb and pay $6 rake.

If I run it twice on a single hand and win both runs, I win 100bb and pay $4 rake.

The former is a much better deal and running it twice results in paying 1/3 more rake.

Re: Run it twice

What would be better is if by running it twice it made MOAR variance. ie/ the second time you get the other players investment in the pot AGAIN. The fish would love it, lets suck out twice in hand and really put that reg on tilt!
