You're right, if they meet the 10 day window they won't have to pay 10% bonus to the players .

I actually stopped cashing out with e-checks last year when I had to wait over a month for my money. They did give me a $300 bonus, but I just get checks now. They are shipped quickly, and I haven't had any problems (knock on wood).
I emailed PS before cashing out yesterday, and they told me there are no problems with paper checks.

Is this the general consensus: Paper checks are still ok to request and deposit?

I wouldn't make that assumption either. I gave up after mine was 'pending' for four days and requested a wire transfer. I haven't heard of anyone getting a real check since the 'problems' began that didn't have an initial bounced check (and only a few of those). Still wait and see I guess. My echeck will be 'late' after Friday and my wire transfer on Monday so not much more waiting I guess (whereas a paper check takes 15 business days which is nearly a month).

I must say that I'm disappointed at how Stars has handled this so far. An echeck processor getting shut down should hardly be unexpected to them. I waited around for a while to see if my last cashout would hit my bank account, or if they would inform me of a problem, but nothing happens. I sent an email 20 hours ago just asking if the money was going to be returned to my account and haven't gotten a reply. I understand that they are probably overwhelmed with similar emails atm, but people like me would not have even needed to email them at all if they had just sent out bulk emails to those of us that are potentially affected to let us know exactly what we should expect to happen. I'm in no hurry to get the money but when it is in neither my Stars account nor my bank account I want to be kept informed of exactly what it is doing. Right now it is just stuck in limbo where I cannot access it or find it or prove that it's mine and that makes me uncomfortable.

I see echeck deposits are back up in my FTP cashier window..

You may need to click the "more deposit options" button in the window to setup check deposits.

I have a pending E check cash out from June 2nd thats not paid . In my opinion this could make a significant impact on the size of the WSOP main event as many US qualifiers might have trouble getting the funds in time to make travel plans and register .

Yes but they can at least fill us in, so that we can get to sleep at night, and can get back to playing poker and not worrying about the surrent situation. but PokerStars still has not acknowledged E-checks were affected by the seizure, when obviously there is some type of connection. They just leave us in the dark, while other poker rooms have fixed the problems and awarded bonuses.
