Fish have bronze - silver star and they don't receive much RB or even get good deals in the FPP store.

If stars does this it's because they want to profit much more. I doubt they are in financial trouble?

But this is designed with profit in mind. Less rakeback/more rake is a ****ing joke.

The games will be tougher since the noone but stars will make good profits.

@SW82

Would you agree with me that if the intended purpose is to redistribute VPPs to lower multiplier players in order to boost profits, this has a huge potential to backfire given that they are laying themselves incredibly bad odds on the extra profit they take back from Supernova+ compared to the rake those players pay that they are now putting at risk?

I believe I calculated in the related Internet Bonus thread that they were essentially giving themselves 9:1 if they manage to scrape back 25% of 100k VPP players' bonuses. So if these numbers are close and 10-20% of regs leave due to this it would be a huge disaster for them.

Pretty back-stabbing that they tell affiliates before players imo. Especially when they told us to wait...

I agree, and I don't think it's a smart move for them, but yet, here we are.

NO More Hoards Of 36 tabling Fold bots Is a Good Thing.

Im So Sorry You wont be getting Paid for something you didnt put $ into!

Some of us like to try and play poker and not be manipulated into being a rake machine!

Now Stars BAN ALL POKER SOFTWARE and put these crooks out of business!

There's really no point in Stars holding out on this any longer. You have to have some sort of nearly set in stone structure for the VIP system if you've decided to change the rake method. Damage control is long overdue.

Re: Poll: PokerStars 2012 VIP Changes - Keep Dealt System or Change It?

It makes sense for them to hold out if they are still determining how much of an increase in VPP/hand they should add. It seems unlikely that they'd not increase the vpp/hand at all.

Indeed. It makes me wonder if they had rake/game changes planned to roll out in January (originally Steve said "VIP now, any rake/game changes later"), and now they're rushing a simultaneous release to avoid too much backlash.

Weighted Contributed + Blitz Poker = Less profits for FR players in the future.

I play SNG's/MTT's so a boost would be great
