The circular spotlight is just a place holder. This is another alternative that we are considering:

nice to see you guys keeping it fresh and responding to the community.
I'll check and send comments on the Mac beta when it releases there (it could already be in the Mac Beta but I've not checked before writing...lazy sometimes see...)

Stefan, could you repost the instructions to hook the Beta client to the live tables? I've either lost the PM or cannot use the search function properly today even when I wasn't bald I wasn't blonde...I promise x

We have released on TestPokerStars an option to mark the player whose turn it is to act with a spotlight as opposed to the current blinking effect. It would be great if players can provide us feedback on the solution that is on TestPokerStars.
I think it's cool option.
Once you are at improving play experience though what about an option of shadowing/graying out players who weren't dealt in a hand. Sometimes with many tables it's hard to remember if you raised in MP or CO but it's crucial information once you get 3bet from blinds. It's now impossible to retrieve as players who were in the hand and folded and those who weren't dealt in appear in the same fashion.

Thx for the info. ^This with less glow/shine would be nuts imo, just like the blinking effect looks but static.

Just wanted to stop by and say a huge thank you for the WSOP spoilers considering the FT hasn't even aired in my country yet - really thoughtful of you to plaster the winner's name and face all over the place the moment I load the software :/

That's a bit of a hijack, but it teaches me that viewing a current poker site is a poor way of avoiding the knowledge of who just won the world series.

To see it, please start TestPokerStars and go to "Options" > "Table Display Options" > "Mark active player with spotlight (Beta)". Then please open a No Limit Hold'em 9-max Play Money table and make sure you are using the default Black theme. It won't work on other tables/themes. Here is a screenshot:

You can either PM me or post your feedback here. Thanks!
if you guys are tweaking how we are notified whose turn it is.. could we get all tables where it is our turn to act to stand out in the taskbar (blue or blinking or whatever) as is they only turn a different color and blink when we get into our timebank... quite suboptimal

Isn't that a Operating system thing rather than an Application thing?
Seem to recall this being commented on earlier ITT, happy/sorry if I'm proven wrong.

Stefan, can you please add a filter check button in the MTT filter section for WOMEN's ONLY events. As a man I really do not need to be seeing these bright pink tournies in the lobby reminding me how sexist Pokerstars are being, and showing me games that I cannot play. The lobby is already overcrowded, so if I can get rid of any games then all the better.

Many thanks

can we add a filter for this thread so we can exclude stupid suggestions and concentrate on important issues?

Is there a way to make the same note for all players at your table?

eg. if i squeeze 50bb with 63s and someone looks me up, i'd like to be able to make a note for all players at the table that they saw me spew in that situation.

if this isn't possible, it should be. copy and paste takes too long.

This would also be really nice to have for those of us that just want to keep track of our own image on a table without necessarily writing the table notes to the player notes. Just make an option in the notes option popup to write table notes to everyone sitting at the table and for those of us that would leave it unchecked, the notes for that table would just be deleted when we close that table.

Could also be really helpful for people that want to classify different kinds of tables by color since there's that perennial request for being able to change felt or background or whatever. Ideally having the felt or background change color would be the nuts and if I could 1-click a Table Note icon for a color list popup to do it that would be great, but window titlebar/border, chat/note/info control box section or some other new colorable indicator would be an excellent start.

Rather than highlighting with blinking or a light over the pod I would prefer to see a countdown timer. Either graphically and/or numerically. This highlights exactly who's turn it is and exactly how long they've taken to make decisions.
