So you just release the client without knowing what has been fixed? Oh yeah, that sounds like a good idea.
Bravo, and respect for pretending to take the job seriously..../m

I'd prefer to give you an honest answer than brown-nose or make empty promises. But yes, the client software is often (not always) released before the change log is communicated internally.

Yes, I will definitely do that.

There is an update within the next couple of days. I am not sure of the exact timing yet.

You're right. I'm collecting suggestions for the filters and hope to make some more improvements in early 2010.

I actually reduced it to 16 seconds for all Heads-Up SNGs (at the same time, I prohibited deals in 2-player HUSNGs and added some missing games and stakes).
In some events the time bank was increased to compensate for this. The feedback has been pretty good, and this is the first complaint I've seen about this issue. I will make a special effort to gather more feedback and if there is a consensus to increase the time to act, I'll do it.

2) I'd like to see 8 man HUSNG's with a payout structure like 1st place 45%, 2nd place 30%, 3rd place 25% (e.g. 8 x $5.25 for $40 prize pool; 1st: $18, 2nd: $12, 3rd: $10)
|
I'm not against the idea of 8-player HUSNGs, but I think the payout structure should be the same as other 8-player tournaments (50 / 30 / 20).

3) The response times for customer service requests are unacceptable. This wasn't always the case; you used to be impressive. Now it seems like you've become complacent. Perhaps you're understaffed or hiring less qualified workers.
|
I understand your concerns and share them, but we're not getting complacent. PokerStars recently appointed a new, top-notch person to head Support, and also made major improvements to the tools used by support personnel. I'm confident that we'll see big changes in the coming months.

Yes, still planned. Any changes will most likely take effect on Jan 1st 2010.

If you play fast tables, all of the animation is significantly faster and the delays are shorter - give them a try.

It's not 'lag' exactly. VPP updates are triggered by certain events, such as leaving a table or opening the cashier. You can force an update by closing and opening the cashier.

Sure - what is the official name for your timezone?

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 you can lower the volume of PokerStars using the volume control. On Mac OS there are third-party apps that have the same functions.
You can also choose new sounds for particular events in 'Options' > 'Sound Settings'. As a last resort you could simply edit the existing sound files and change their volume (an editor is included in Windows).

This is planned for an update in the near future (in PokerStars lingo: 'soon'). I've seen development screenshots and they look great.

I'm not a tourney regular and wanted to throw a little session, playing holdem or PLO. In a 1h30 timeframe there were 8 or 9 various O8 tournaments available but only one $2 PLO and a mixed PLO/NLHE. Really strange imo, PLO is so much more popular than O8...
|
What time frame are you looking at, exactly? Have you tried filtering out Omaha 8 and Round of Each PLH/PLO to see if you're missing anything?

We'll most likely add more Euro games when we exit beta.

Changing the alert sound from the "incoming attack" alert to a milder alert might be nice too, and being able to go back to the "incoming attack" alert when I want to, so have several choices for alerts, like one of Elmer Fudd and another of Megan Fox. etc, and one of the original banshees in the perimeter that is there already. I don't think I have a sound mixer, btw. Female voices work best though as found on the F-15, for example: "Bingo Fuel" and other alerts were responded to much better when put into a female voice.
|
See above - this can already be done. If someone comes up with an all Megan Fox (or even better, an all Victoria Coren) sound scheme, I'd love to hear it.

It would be nice and convenient to see that as well. TY

Do we really want an 'ah, but how much did you lose?' feature built into PokerStars?
