Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

Pokerstars needs:

1. Rakeback (unrealistic, I know)
2. Special FPP multiplier hours/days for ring games
3. Show/show 1 and fold
4. Show/show 1 and muck
5. Buddy list

All I can think of now

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

please use DON blind structure for sng 9max!

please give us a visibility on what will happening in January fir sng:
- Does the 9max will desapear in their current format, you know high stakes are dead (today a 109$ with azntracker, castelman, bigjoe, DDbeast it's just ridiculous)
- DON Stop or continue?
- give a real explanation for no 208$ DON? don't say collusion please. it will only happen on 1$ and maybe 5$ level
- new rake structure?????
- 9man triple or nothing? (like in PS italy)
- super turbo? 9max or 6maX?
--> baically as a customer I think we have the right to know what will hapenning with our favorite games (at in general not in detail), it's just a kind of respect (don't forger customer first)

I have also an idea for DON, create a pool of player (multi registration allowed) and the software will allocate automatically the player to one sng so there will be less risk for collusion (if any)

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

I started playing at stars a little again. A few complaints:

1. Stack size is covered by cards. Why? It's very annoying to have to look up from my hole cards to see my stack size when I know the information is right where I'm looking and theres plenty of room for both to be there.

2. Similar to 1. Pot size not displayed next to the pot. Hate having to make an effort to look up and see it. It should be right next to the chips so you can see it while looking in the same area as the board cards.

You shouldn't have to look in 4 places to see your hole cards, stack size, board and size of the pot.

3. Maybe this is just an issue with my comp being slow. But after a person acts, it takes a good 3s for the players action to disappear and let me see their stack size.

To clarify I'm hoping to be able to adjust individual sound aspects on the site. For example, maybe I want to turn up the chip sound and turn down the alert or visa versa. The alert is good if I'm playing at 2PM with no music from the computer. The alert is bad if I'm playing at 3AM. Changing the alert sound from the "incoming attack" alert to a milder alert might be nice too, and being able to go back to the "incoming attack" alert when I want to, so have several choices for alerts, like one of Elmer Fudd and another of Megan Fox. etc, and one of the original banshees in the perimeter that is there already. I don't think I have a sound mixer, btw. Female voices work best though as found on the F-15, for example: "Bingo Fuel" and other alerts were responded to much better when put into a female voice.

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

hi not sure if this has been mentioned before but i would like to see a feature added to the HH review window. currently, hands that are highlighted in green show that you won a pot, but there is no easy way to scroll back and see the hands where you VPIP'ed and then either folded or lost at showdown. It would be nice and convenient to see that as well. TY

I've definitely been wanting this as well, simply highlight the hand red if you lost more than a BB.

So you just release the client without knowing what has been fixed? Oh yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

Bravo, and respect for pretending to take the job seriously..../m
I'd prefer to give you an honest answer than brown-nose or make empty promises. But yes, the client software is often (not always) released before the change log is communicated internally.

There is an update within the next couple of days. I am not sure of the exact timing yet.

You're right. I'm collecting suggestions for the filters and hope to make some more improvements in early 2010.

I actually reduced it to 16 seconds for all Heads-Up SNGs (at the same time, I prohibited deals in 2-player HUSNGs and added some missing games and stakes).

In some events the time bank was increased to compensate for this. The feedback has been pretty good, and this is the first complaint I've seen about this issue. I will make a special effort to gather more feedback and if there is a consensus to increase the time to act, I'll do it.

2) I'd like to see 8 man HUSNG's with a payout structure like 1st place 45%, 2nd place 30%, 3rd place 25% (e.g. 8 x $5.25 for $40 prize pool; 1st: $18, 2nd: $12, 3rd: $10)
I'm not against the idea of 8-player HUSNGs, but I think the payout structure should be the same as other 8-player tournaments (50 / 30 / 20).

3) The response times for customer service requests are unacceptable. This wasn't always the case; you used to be impressive. Now it seems like you've become complacent. Perhaps you're understaffed or hiring less qualified workers.
I understand your concerns and share them, but we're not getting complacent. PokerStars recently appointed a new, top-notch person to head Support, and also made major improvements to the tools used by support personnel. I'm confident that we'll see big changes in the coming months.

Yes, still planned. Any changes will most likely take effect on Jan 1st 2010.

If you play fast tables, all of the animation is significantly faster and the delays are shorter - give them a try.

It's not 'lag' exactly. VPP updates are triggered by certain events, such as leaving a table or opening the cashier. You can force an update by closing and opening the cashier.

Sure - what is the official name for your timezone?

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 you can lower the volume of PokerStars using the volume control. On Mac OS there are third-party apps that have the same functions.

You can also choose new sounds for particular events in 'Options' > 'Sound Settings'. As a last resort you could simply edit the existing sound files and change their volume (an editor is included in Windows).

This is planned for an update in the near future (in PokerStars lingo: 'soon'). I've seen development screenshots and they look great.

I'm not a tourney regular and wanted to throw a little session, playing holdem or PLO. In a 1h30 timeframe there were 8 or 9 various O8 tournaments available but only one $2 PLO and a mixed PLO/NLHE. Really strange imo, PLO is so much more popular than O8...
What time frame are you looking at, exactly? Have you tried filtering out Omaha 8 and Round of Each PLH/PLO to see if you're missing anything?

See above - this can already be done. If someone comes up with an all Megan Fox (or even better, an all Victoria Coren) sound scheme, I'd love to hear it.

Do we really want an 'ah, but how much did you lose?' feature built into PokerStars?

It's EST or AEST, difference is it stays as this timezone all year, whereas the rest of the east coast of Australia switches to EDT/AEDT for daylight savings times.

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

Can we please have a running back roll show up. Like opening the cashier and leave it up and it show your bankroll in real time. Like Full Tilt has. It gets really annoying reopening the cashier while multitabling.

And please give us a $2 or $3 micro step. I don't understand why this hasn't been done yet. Would really help out the traffic in the steps.

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

Would be nice to have a few more options for Auto-Rebuy...in particular the ability to designate different rebuy amounts for PLO vs NLHE vs LHE, or 1/2 vs 2/4 vs 5/10, or HU vs 6-max vs FR.
