Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

Nice to see PokerStars reps responding to a 2+2 thread. Thank you for that.

A feature that has been requested for a long time is the ability to increase the font size at the tables. When resizing the tables to a smaller than default size the fonts become very small and are hard to read for those who use small tables and prefer a comfortable distance from their screen.
It would be nice if you could add options to change font sizes for player names, players' stack sizes and bet amounts (on the table), if possible independently.
Additionally, the option of making the text bold would be nice.

It would be perfect if you could even choose the font that is used.

Well, most people don't even understand how important betting size is or play multitable, so why would they complain.

Yes, that is why you should add it as an option. Just like you can choose fond-size -why is that you think?- I would like to choose my slider size.

That sounds nice, but it's not. You should provide poker and what benefits the game will usually not benefit most players. If it comes to features I can understand you give priority to the most requested ones, but when it comes to the game itself and serious complaints about it you should use a different standard guaranteeing the quality of it!

Also you can't just have a waiting list with problems and never solve the ones at the bottom.

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

I think there should be a "default" avatar created by PokerStars (like the PokerStars symbol) that we could use to represent ourself at the tables instead of the user uploaded picture. When going to the "change image" options we could just tick the box in front of, for exemple: "Use my custom image" or "Use the default avatar".

Then, we should also be able to have every players be represented by the default avatar if we wish. I don't really like to analyze a mixture of random pictures, blank spots and "empty seat" when I'm trying to figure out at a quick glance how many players are actually sitting at the table.

If this was implemented, we could even go further and have the ability to make the default avatar change color. For exemple, the default avatar would be the PokerStars symbol that could be displayed in red, blue, green, etc. We could just right-click on a players avatar to select a color. That would probably please the players requesting color coded notes as well!

Michael, but what you think about to let us change screen-names? I am willing to pay some extra FPP-s to change my SN.

My vote as well on the name change. We should not have to pay for it. You should get one name change a year. Or, you can base it on a minimum of hands played, but not more than once a year. That would also solve the issue of when a newbie picks a name like "upurbutt" and then matures and later regrets his name choice. That would still allow legitimate individuals to maintain databases on players, while deterring dataminers.

(no offense to anyone named "upurbutt" )

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

Obviously we need ptr to come up with an opt out function. Other sites such as OPR have come out with this feature and it will work with the opposition. I wrote PTR an email and they actually responded pretty quick, maybe a couple of hours. with this...

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Poker Table Ratings.

That feature is not available at this time with Poker Table Ratings. Your request to have players blocked/removed has been sent to our development team as a possible future enhancement.

Sincerely,

Poker Table Ratings Support

Isn't there a "Don't show avatars" option somewhere?

Edit: And +1 on SN switch. I would bump it to every 6 months though instead of 12. Stats from longer than that are starting to get outdated anyways so it's a nice auto-refresh kinda thing. The only thing would be notes... iirc, whatever site (cake?) it is that allows SN switches keeps notes the same (i.e. your notes transfer from old SN to new SN).

Yes, but I'd rather have something visible to identify the players than nothing at all and all the random pictures are distracting me.

Plus it would be cool to color them as we please.

Well, sure, that would solve the issue of Third Party Results websites, but then that opens up another whole can of worms. I obviously cannot rule anything in or out for the future, but it would seem very unlikely that we would charge for the privilege: We simply don't see this as an issue of money/rake/profitability, but rather, an issue of doing what we can to protect the integrity of the games.

We'll keep considering all these interrelated issues, and while we do so, we'll be reading the comments here and also the comments that people send us via email.

Yes! This is the thing PokerStars needs most of all!
Please, have some mercy on our eyes. I guess this ability is not too complicated to do.

Just compare whose bets are easier to see. It is so obvious.

Thank you in advance.

P.S. Colored notes and full sized pocket cards will be appreciated a lot too.

I agree 1 name change a year should be standard for all sites. The no name change rule sux imo.
