sfcell - I don't think there are many casinos that require you to turn up your hands when all-in in a cash-game.

[quote=KLJ;2525700]if i could only have one thing, it would most definitely be:
higher minimum buyin (at least 40BB, 50 would be practical and kind of nice)

If I could have 1 thing it would be lower maximum buyins, say 40 or 50 BB's just like the largest brick and mortar poker room in the world, commerce casino. Games were much better with the 50BB max buyins at Party Poker in 2004.

Lets not make this a discussion on whether shortstacking is bad or good

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

I'm almost exclusvely a cash game player and have been for most of my poker career, but the most obvious needed improvement to me is synchronized tournament breaks. If stars does it, other major sites will be pressured to follow eventually.

For cash games, though:
1) The shortstackers are a problem. Seriously. Give us options to play what we want to play: poker where the vast majority of players at the table have more than 20 BB stacks. If I want to play short stack, allin preflop poker, I'll sign up for a sitngo. 40BB (or 50, even better) minimum buy tables, plz.
2) what's more frustrating than taking a bad beat in a big pot? Getting 'auto-rebought' back in for a mere 20BB and getting dealt AA. wtf. If you're willing to auto-rebuy us into NL games, let us buy in for a stack size we specify.
3) 'fast' limit tables may have the 'sit out next BB' button, but NL games don't. would love a 'take a break' button that does this at all tables.

This is the salient issue. +1.

We know many people dishonestly datamine Stars, I am gled they do not have access to my mucked cards. Show them on screen, it will be hours before one of the mining apps is able to incorperate the information into the HH files.

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

dave and ack bring up reasonable points.

So instead of making it automatic just give people the OPTION to turn it over if they want...just like most live cash-games!!

I'm sure they already can -- if we go allin preflop and the person in later position has the best hand, both hands are already shown, and this is kinda unavoidable. But at least if you're in earlier position and have a better hand, mine gets mucked. A far better software upgrade (but an unlikely one) would be for only hands that get a part of the pot to be displayed. The losing hand(s) are available to players via instant hand history anyways, and this protects the most information from observers.

Given that some people (note how I politely refrain from insulting them, it wasn't easy) are clamoring for full hand exposure upon alllin, I doubt they'll be improving the privacy situation anytime soon, but I'm pretty sure stars understands the need to at least keep the privacy we have.

Re: **OFFICIAL Stars Software Improvement Thread***

bad_egg - that's a good one.
If I'm playing SNG's at different stakes....say a bunch of 16s and 27s mixed together. I kind of like to be able to know at a glance which ones are the 'more important' ones. But instead I have to click on the lobby for each of them and/or try to position them so that all the 16's are on one side of the screen and all the 27's are on the other side or something silly like that.
