Bad reason.

In a live cash game, if the losing hand is mucked, you don't have the option of going back and looking at the cards anytime you please. Playing online you do.

Therefore, as long as you're able to look at the hand history to see the cards, then why not just show them in the first place.

I'll tell you why: it's just another way to mollify the professionals who have the software that allows them to see the cards over those (non-professional, recreational) players who don't.

Yes I know we can go out and buy the software, but why should we have to?

It's stupid and needs to be changed.

Just show the cards like you do in tournaments and SitNGos and be done with it.

since you can look up the hand in the hh, why does it bother you? there's no reason to force a player to show his cards to everyone (including observers) simply because one of the players ran out of money

I'm not sure, but I don't think that observers (railbirds) can see the auto-mucked hole cards of the losing players in an All-In situation. This may be the reason for not flipping them up, so people can't post private HH's on forums and message boards that were not actually playing...

this is easy now. click the circular arrow by the HH;s in upper right and you will get a quick visual. i hit that arrow many many times and it does not open a new window each time, so it is manageable.

Showing one hole-card either when folding or after you've won the hand and didn't have to show would be a good addition too.
It would make the game far more fun. I think the fish who like to try to psych out their opponents would REALLY get into such a feature.

this would slow the games down horribly!

I skimmed this thread, didnt see this.

Is there a way to get rid of the red replayer button? it is really annoying me, I cant find the image to delete/change it.

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\replay\link.bmp

I haven't tried modding it yet, though. It will likely be replaced back to default image each update also, I assume.

Here. Replace C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\replay\link.bmp with this file: link.bmp
Keep a copy handy so you can copy/paste it into place when you update.

You also need this file: link.a.bmp

Have the hands continue out at the regular speed or the chips moved to the winning player at the regular speed.
Any time you like you can hit the button to 'show my cards' or 'show one card' or whatever.
It wouldn't slow the games down at all.
If they did it wrong and they tried to offer you the option, "Do you want to show one card? Yes/No" and then waited for you to decide then it would slow things down of course.
But there is enough gap time as the chips are being shoved or the cards are being mucked or whatever that I think such an option could be implemented without slowing anything down. It would only be used by those who could actually act quick enough I guess.

I am glad they finally have a hand replayer, I will have to check it out more. But, from what I have seen of it, it would be much better if it placed you in your preferred seat, so the players match the table as you are looking at it.

The Darth Vader Lobby? Not so much. I tried it a few times when it was beta and it's too dark and heavy for me. Also kind of hard to read. I can see how the yellow and green doesn't really flow with the PStars branding, but maybe something more neutral like the colors used on the PStars web pages or even tone the black down to a very dark charcoal gray?

Once they take the lobby themes out of beta, and put out some documentation on it, you will be seeing custom lobby themes from people like me. Currently it appears they encrypted the INI files, so it isn't yet possible to create/add my own custom lobby theme to the menu yet. It might be possible to mod the default or black lobby, but you would have to install the modified files every time that stars updates (aka every launch).

Stars if you add a feature to the playing screen put an option to hide the feature. The hand replayer red button is sooooooooooo annoying and tilts the hell out of me !!!

I would like to see 6max NLHE games with ante at all limits! (0.10/0.25 with 0.04-5 ante etc, though it would have to be at least 100bbs deep buyin else the shortstackers would go completely insane)

Or maybe a more neutral color for the hand replayer button?

Having played with it a little, I think the hand replayer definitely needs to put you in your preferred seat. Current is better than nothing, but it's easy to confuse other players having to rotate everyone in my head while trying to focus on the game I'm in as well.

You can simply delete the image file link.bmp and link.a.bmp in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\replay folder. Make a shortcut to that folder so you can delete the files after you launch stars but before you open any tables. In another thread in the software forum I realized you dont even have to replace the image witha transparent image file. Deleting it seems to work, if you dont want to see it or use it. Unfortunately you will have to do it at least once a day, when you launch stars.

We're preparing for multi-day tournaments and the new WCOOP games (2-7 Lowball, Mixed Hold'em, Mixed Omaha 8 or Better and 8-Game Mix).

There are also some improvements to how the client works in Windows Vista.

I'll let you know if there are any other notable changes once I get the release notes.

I find the sitting out/sitting back in setup to be extremely annoying at times. I 24-table full ring cash games. I use the "Stars Planner" AHK because it has a "sit out on all tables" option. There is one hitch, though: if I don't go through all my tables and manually uncheck the "auto-post blinds" option on the normal speed tables before I uncheck the "sit out on all tables" option to return to my games, it automatically makes me post blinds from any position. Pretty annoying. What I've been doing lately is killing the PokerStars process in Windows Task Manager (doesn't make me leave my tables this way) and then relaunching PokerStars, which unchecks the "auto-post blinds" check box on all my tables, and is a little faster than me going through and doing them all manually. If something could be done about this though, that'd be great. It's quite annoying when I forget to uncheck them before I return from sitting out and end up losing money from posting with rag hands.

Any details you can provide?
Either I'm going crazy or it seems to be going super fast now. Like opening a table from the lobby doesn't takes less than an instant to appear with all the players in their seats, etc.
Please tell me this isn't my imagination because I really notice a difference.
