The EV of the chest content doesn't depend on the moment of its opening (as long as it's within 3 calendar months of the earning of the chest, otherwise the chest expires). So open the chests (or have a Chinese worker open them ) whenever it's convenient to you.

Chest opening is manual because, apparently, it's important to Stars that the moment of opening be more memorable to you - positively memorable if you're fun-oriented, negatively memorable and provoking you to move to Party if you're profit-oriented and net withdrawing.

I've been unable to access the VIP Store for over a week now. Is this a known bug?

For some reason I'm unable to check my order histories, when I click the button nothing happens. This has been happening for a few weeks now.

The new rewards system is soooo cool! The shiny stars and bright colours appeal to the 4 year old arts and craft enthusiast in me! After a day of grinding a bunch of tables of 2/4 to 10/20 cash it was so awesome to open my chest and find 6$ inside!!!!

They say that rewards are personalized to you according to your game history. They take into consideration net deposits. How is that possible? I thought that the odds for cash applied to all. If that is the case Maybe the rng is focused to new players too

No they don't have to manipulate the ring. The personalization comes in the points required per chest and the amount of boost you get. Depositing players get cheaper chests and better boosts so they get many more chests per $ raked. More chests means more chances to win. They don't have to manipulate the odds for any one chest.

hand replayer has stopped showing opponents cards at showdown in my tournaments

The "Stars Rewards" progress bar is hidden behind the "leave table" button when using the Slick theme.

Stars client has stopped saving my notes and color captions - whenever I log off, all the notes and captions I made since the log in are gone. Luckily, all the old notes and captions are intact.

Anyone else got this bug? Any way to fix it?

Just checked it here on EU skin with build 18427 (latest version): Everything's fine.
Have you installed the latest version?
You also could check the path for the notes in the user.ini file: This should look like "NoteFilePath=C:\Users\YOUR_PC_USER\AppData\Local\ PokerStars.EU\".

The stars coin reward bar is not updating correctly - a similar problem to what we had with the starcoin progress bar.

Imagine I need 400 points to open my next chest - I play a hand and I am all in and rake $3. The progress bar does not move. I then sit out and leave the tables - the progress bar instantly updates. This is a glitch that is affecting others as they are talking about it in the chests thread (no, not that chests thread in NSFW, THE chest thread). So in order to open a chest, you are having to play longer or keep shutting your tables down. I assume this is written into the code to make people play longer hence why the problem existed with the old system but its not very fair.

FYI - We are planning a full system restart this Thursday at 7am ET (12 noon UK). It is planned to take under an hour, but circumstances can sometimes extend or delay it.

This is a normal build-cycle / maintenance restart, in preparation for new client updates over the next few weeks.

Chests not opening since restart for me - not sure if anyone else is affected. Getting a "this game is unavailable". Challenge window also failing to open. Says "page cannot be displayed"

A non-critical bug in re-entry MTTs:

When I use the maximum allowed number of re-entries and my last entry is eliminated during the late registration period, I'm still shown a dialog window showing the options to re-enter or close, even though I'm obviously not allowed to re-enter. When I click on 'Re-Enter', the client pops up an error message as expected (telling that I've already used the maximum number of re-entries).

Also, you might want to incorporate the Storm sound theme (that was used in the Power Up alpha) as one of the default choices alongside the beta sounds For now, I'll install the sound files manually in the sound options (the files are located at PokerStars\themes\storm\table-view\audio\). Thanks for developing Power Up (for the whole game, not just for the sounds).

How do I get my tourney position on the tables? I upgraded my comp and had the good software on my old comp but now this one is garbage.

Stars support was useless, saying that you can't get your tourney position at the table

What is your client version? Go to Help > About PokerStars and look for the 5-digit Build number.

Also, what table theme are you using? The Mercury theme shows tourney position, as do others, but some (like Classic) do not.

We recommend that you switch to Mercury theme for this and other features that some of the older themes do not have.

You are correct, it should not still show options to re-enter at that point. This is a known problem we've had for a while. It's both non-critical (in terms of impact) and not trivial to fix, which is why it hasn't been addressed yet.
