We're not sure why this would be happening. The next time it occurs, would you please send your log files to Support so they can look into it?

I am very disappointed with Pokerstars as they just keep saying they are treating the issue seriously but do nothing other than tell me to resin tall the software. I have asked for compensation for the money I have inadvertently lost or at least something in return for the issues I am experiencing but they never reply to those questions.

Thoughts?
We have not received any other reports of this problem occurring. We do appreciate the log files and videos you sent, and the team is investigating but so far we have been unable to reproduce the effect or determine the source. We are sorry that we have not been able to pin this down yet.

This issue got bumped again. It is a candidate for the next build cycle, but has not been chosen for development so I can't say whether we'll have it resolved in the near term or not. Sorry!

As far as I can tell, the feature is working as designed. If there is no PS avatar and a player has an FT avatar, the FT avatar will be shown at PS tables.

Thanks for posting to raise this issue - I don't think it should be happening and suspect we may have a bug or more likely an inadvertent error in configuring promo messages. I've asked someone to investigate.

Follow-up: The team agrees it is probably a misconfiguration on our part. Could you please send me a Private Message with your Stars ID? Also, if anyone has screenshots of the bonus / promo in question that would be most helpful - thanks!

Thanks for posting and sorry for the problem - this is a known issue that the team expects to have resolved with the next build. So it should be cleared up around mid-May, depending on your license.

Sorry about that. Like Card Match, the new PowerUp Poker game also makes a higher demand on graphics, so updating drivers, adding memory or upgrading graphics card may resolve this problem as well.

If you try those tactics and you still have crashes, please send your log files to Support. Go to Help > Log Files, add details about the crash, your system, your graphics card/memory/drivers, your client build version, etc., and click Send Log Files.

Keith, let us opt out of CardMatch please - allow us to remove it from the tables. It's causing crashes - something that you were aware of last time it ran, it feels malicious to bring it back with no option to disable it. Zero crashes when the promo isn't there, multiple crashes per day when it's running. At least give us a user.ini modification or something to get rid of it.

i have my excellent drivers updated and a brand new graphic card, and while i can play every game smoothly, cardmatch in its current form still causes crashes, freezes and a lot of delay. any possibility of fixing this in the next build cycle?

this would be a great help too. Instead of asking your customers to update their graphic cards maybe give them a choice to use a non-freezing pokerstars? sounds like logic to me. And i would rather play every day on a solid client than on a crappy one that gives free $2 each day

You can use some symbols in the password for your Stars Account. I don't know what the full set of allowable characters are, but I just created a PW using , among other things, ,.?!#$%&*():;.

The only thing I can suggest is try using symbols and if some don't work, let me know which ones (you can Private Message me if you want - or contact Support).

Can you let me know the details of your graphic card (make, model, chip, speed, memory, driver version) and your client build version (Help > About PokerStars, 5-digit build number)?

i think normally it should be like that:
if customer uses FT client then it shows only FT avatar
if PS client then shows custom,blank or PS image gallery avatar

I am experiencing huge lags when playing on PS. It is around every 1hour or so and I hear the noises but cant click and ps doesnt answer. Problem only resolves when I am opening task manager and kill the process.dont think its hardware issue, since i have a supercomputer

Yes - sorry, I should have mentioned that. Passwords must start with a letter, contain at least one number and be at least 8 characters long, but beyond that I think most regular keyboard symbols are valid.

These minimum requirements are shown in desktop clients on the Account Creation screen:



... but not in the Account > Password utility for changing your password unless you submit a new PW that doesn't conform to the rules, in which case you see this popup:

Server Restart on Thursday this week

We are planning full system restart on Thursday, May 4th at 7:00 ET.

There are no near-term plans to introduce another Easy Seat option, and nothing that I know about further down the road. I let the team know of your interest in the feature.

I couldn't find any way to remove the FT avatar through the FT client. You might try contacting Support to ask them to remove the FT avatar for you if they can.

Or you could copy the blank (no image) PS avatar, save it as a .jpeg, and then request to use it as a custom image through the PS Image Gallery menu. Then you will have a PS avatar so the FT override should not happen.
