checked new Pokerstars.eu build (15747) and after 7 games of Spin&Go, I've noticed knowing problem. Pokerstars is crashing faster than usual :-/

Is there any chance that someday Pokerstars correct this bug? First crashing problems was reported to pokerstars about half year ago!

Repeating a question from earlier, why does the instant hand history window resize its frames so the top frame with the list of recently played hands is tiny and the lower frame with the actual hand history is huge? It also re-sorts the columns of the top frame so most recent hands are at the bottom instead of the top of the list. Since the window and frames are resizable and columns are sortable surely it would make more sense for it to "remember last" state?

having all options to fold/check/raise is fundamental of poker. i kind of understand the reasoning behind this, but it is very unfortunate to implement it on such fundamental level.

hopefully it never gets deployed and you rollback all of these other clients

yes i do know that other sites hide the Fold button when you can check for free, they are ******ed for doing so, i didn't think Stars was, especially when you guys had the popup asking "Are you sure?" along with a checkbox allowing you to remember your choice

you haven't yet given a good reason FOR the change.

My expectations from PokerStars have dropped considerably in the last year, but I never thought they would do something as stupid as removing the option to open fold. In addition to the tactical reasons others have pointed out, I used it in Zoom to save time. Now I get the privilege of having my time highjacked by players with poor connections in multi-way pots in which I have zero interest in continuing.

I gave up on the hope that your software would get any better from here on out, but please try not to actively make it worse for no good reason.

there is a folder called "backup" in the pokerstars folder, I copied the stuff from there back to the parent directory and start pokerstars.exe without update and now fold button is back.

Also openfolding is part of poker, maaaaybe make it for newbies so it does that in the first 2 months or so, but please not as default.

And thanks to you all for your thoughtful responses regarding open fold. I have shared all of your comments with the PRM team as well. They are aware of these ideas and positions, and they appreciate your input.

Possible Workaround:

I'm not sure if this will work for your needs, but there is a possible workaround to not having a Fold button in the controls when you are able to Check.

You can set up a hotkey for Fold, and that should still work even though the Fold button doesn't show. To give it a try, go to Settings > Gameplay > Hotkeys. We recommend that you use "Ctrl+" rather than "Shift+" so you don't accidentally fold while typing text in chat.

how long have you guys been seeing the crash bug?

i use a virtual machine, and ever since the FullTilt merge, i get a windows crash when i open up Stars, saying something about "Rational OpenGL". but i can close the crash box and then Stars opens as usual

maybe its related

I like how instead of fixing the numerous issues that we have already, which by the way are not just one or two, the "team" uses its precious time implementing new and innovative features, like reamoving the fold buttom. I mean, really? What's next? Oh I know, remove the "call" button so that we can only raise, how fun would that be? Come on guys, people using windows 7 are still experiencing crashes, the software news page hasn't been uptaded since november 2015, and you guys are busy removing buttons...
