Party lets you change ur name every 180 days for a long time now. I think this would be perfect to stop sites like tableratings.com, I hate that players can essentially "google" my name.

changing names once every 6 months seems a reasonable compromise. Heck even changing names once a year would probably be enough.

I have no problem with grinders who actually play all the time having a huge DB on me but the idea that someone can login to FT or PS and have an extensive history on everyone there before they have ever played a hand is offensive.

Similarly, simply logging in 24x7 and observing lots of tables to build a huge DB is obnoxious. Which is not to say I will not do it if I ever play at FT (where it is apparently allowed) but I would prefer it if the sites try to block this behavior.

On a related note, I don't see why a player who is not logged in should be able to observe more than 1 table...

Prob dumb question, does Stars really not have an option to turn auto post blinds off for HU cash? I don't see it anywhere and I don't understand because FT has it and Stars is better than FT so this bugs me.

It's just frustrating because if I'm playing a bunch of tables or browsing the internet waiting for action then someone gets to play their button against me when I have no interest in playing them at all.

Whether it's a reg I don't want to play or some random shortstacking with 20 BBs it's just v annoying when it happens several times a day.

I don't like the idea of allowing a name change after a fixed period of time. I prefer the idea of letting any player "buy" a name change with FPPs (I suggest 500 FPS) any time they want to.

Is the name change only way to stop datamining??
I think there a lot of other methods.
-1 open table for those who didnt log in
- stop typing players actions in the chat box for those who did not log in
+ probably a lot more stuff.
I cant believe that PS cant solve the datamining problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so what happens to the grinder when you change your screen name? you are now an unknown player with the huge advantage of having your reads on him from playing many hands together without him having any clue.

Please give me the option to automatically take my seat when called off the waiting list without having to click on it.

You are partially correct. The players who care will spend the 500 FPPs to change their name as often as they want to. The players who do not care will not spend the 500 FPPs to change their name. (They will use their FPPs to get a cool baseball cap instead).
