Can anyone explain to me Pokerstars plan when they introduced the Spin & Go Max format, I mean wtf. You can actually win outright and still earn less than 2nd place Unbelievable HA!

In normal spins good players win too much and too often. Therefore a spin&go format must be created that decreases the skill gap between weak and strong players. This format pretty much takes away a lot of skill advantage someone can have. In addition, as you said, even when you win (lets say bc you were the better player) you may win less than 2nd. Its all developed to screw good winning players and make casual players money last longer on the site...
Seriously, if you love the game of NLHE you do not play this format!

Running Mac client, I've got a red pop-up window over the lobby that says I'm running an old version and that I need to upgrade. I cannot do anything in the lobby and I cannot close that window. The only button on it says "Upgrade Software", but when I click it it just restarts PS, and I still get the annoying pop-up.

What can I do ? This started Tuesday evening.

Gotta click a tab that most recs never click, and even then still gotta scroll down to bottom to see the info. Wouldn't be scummy if was the 2nd place to see info BUT they removed info from previous obvious location... Also what about MOBILE -- you can not see Tourney Info STRUCTURE until it has started, iirc. Or am I wrong? Either way it's super obvious the removal = goal of hiding important info.

When i pres 1/2/3 that are my hotkeys, instead of PS action to happen, it writes this numbers in the chat. What to do? PS do not have update. Before 1 day all was good. TY

Server Restart on Wednesday, 30-August at 7am ET

FYI - We are planning a full system restart tomorrow at 7am ET (12 noon UK). It is planned to take under an hour, but circumstances can sometimes extend or delay it.

This is a normal build-cycle / maintenance restart, in preparation for new client updates over the next few weeks.

Can you make all non KO zoom tourneys 2 re-entry tourneys?

There are hardly any zoom tourneys as it is.

Tis a bit annoying to bust out in 3 minutes and have to wait 4 hours for the next one.

Not sure if this happens for everyone, but every time I am UTG at a zoom table I get the alarm beeping at me to act before I can even see my cards. Tilting as fk, and makes it impossible to listen to something else while I grind bc I'm forced to turn the volume down. Pretty much keeps me away from the zoom tables altogether.

why are server restarts planned at 7am? i know it has been like that for ages, but wouldnt it be better to adjust restart times to reflect traffic? from my experience theres significant traffic drop between 3-5am

ie make restarts fit my schedule

dont know where else to ask this

if I have majority of my money in EUR, when is the currency exchange being updated by stars? I went a little paranoid when I logged in today and my total balance visible on main lobby (below the cashier button) was notable smaller than last time I was logged in.

For example, I had $1,000 balance a few days ago (100 usd and 900 eur ish) but today I only had $950 -ish

this normal i guess?

I'm sorry you have experienced crashes. If they still persist, please send your log files to Support and ask for their assistance. Go to Help > Log Files, add a full description of the problem in the text box and hit Send Log Files. It's best to do this right after the client restarts.

I'm sorry that you're experiencing these problems. I'm not sure what is happening, but we know that graphic card issues can result in the software freezing on some systems. We typically recommend that players make sure they have the latest drivers for their cards, or that they upgrade their card (as you just did). Please make sure you have an updated driver (the latest version does not always come with the software in the box), and then contact Support so they can work with you to investigate the problem. They will most likely ask for your log files.

Also, I'm checking with our Payments team to see if there is a recommended payment method for your location.

There is no great time to schedule restarts, but the 7am ET time slot is chosen for two reasons:

It's generally a time when we have fewer players engaged
It provides a full day for the team doing the restart to be on hand for monitoring the effects and they'll have colleagues in the office available react to any problems that might arise
