Re: PokerStars Roundtable 12-08-02

Are there plans to expand the "happy hour" promotion?

FTP is coming back with happy hours so I assume Stars will start offering it every day.

Right?!

Well, sort of. We are moving to a model in which the speed of every table "type" is the same. For instance, all $.01/$.02 NLH and PLO are now "fast" games. As is all razz, except at the highest stakes. This will roll out over a period of time, but the goal is to eventually have one speed per table "type".
I approve of a single speed but it shouldn't be as low as fast tables today. With fast tables having 18 seconds to act and normal 35 seconds, you should settle it somewhere in the 25-30 area, especially at higher stakes where you wouldn't want someone to make a mistake of the size of an avg monthly wage because he was rushed. You have the fast thing covered with zoom already anyway.

Please make happy hours a regular thing! Games were so good during the promotion, doesn't seem like it would cost Stars much at all and I know I for one would get alot more hands in everyday.

Midstakes CAP was way better, quality and quantity.

This is a joke, surely you guys at pokerstars cant be seriously thinking about moving all ring games to fast tables, that will decrease amounts of tables that will run as grinders that 16+ tables FR and 6m wont be able to continue doing that if ever table changes to fast tables when you only get 8 seconds to react. Personally id like pokerstars to consult with people that multi table 16+, before making any decisions to change the speeds of tables.

I have no problems with fast tables at 14 tables.

Why exactly should Stars "consult" more with massive multitabling probably winning hudbots more than 1-tabling depositers?

Lee, loks like Stars got exactly what they wanted with their 2012 Q1 changes and the introduction of these "roundtables". No-one gives a **** anymore, no-one's fighting stars anymore.
Well done :/

Re: PokerStars Roundtable 12-08-02

Hi folks -

Regarding table speed, we are continuing to look at options but don't have a firm timetable on implementation. Please do keep the comments and ideas coming on this - we want your feedback.

Shorthanded Zoom
. I don't have a specific date to give you now, but we are certainly keeping an eye on it and doing what we can to speed up the process. I know that's a frustrating answer, but it's best I can do right now; I promise we haven't forgotten.

$11 180-player SNGs. As you're probably aware, they only run peak hours, which seems to work well. We did have a deployment glitch and missed them on August 1st, so they weren't out until August 2nd - my apologies for that.

Questions about PokerStars.fr poker room management. I am getting in touch with our French poker room manager and will see how he'd like to handle those.

I'm getting answers to some of the other questions and will get back to you as quickly as I can. As I'm sure you can appreciate, things are pretty busy around the office these days so it's not always easy for me to get answers. But I'm continuing to work on them.

Regards, Lee
