I personally don't think VPP should be your driving concern here, but if it is, I assure you this announcement is all upside for you.
Since playing the CAP games I pretty much gave up on the 20-50bb games, mostly because not having to spend 75% of my time messing with the lobby was such a breath of fresh air.

I've a suspicion once all the 20-50bb regs are moved over to CAP the games will get a lot tougher, but I hope they're still beatable. If they become unprofitable for regs they might end up like the FT shallow tables, not many running but extremely fishy.

The solution wasn't removing those games, but just adding 20bb cap tables. Removing options is always bad. Poker Stars should give more options to their players, so it's more probable that they find something they like, and therefore generate rake. Changing one kind of table for this one (20bb cap) in practice will just make it impossible to play shortstacked at many tables, hurting lots of players, and making the poker room lose hundreds of millions of dollars.

Just to make happy some 2+2 users (the vast majority of them don't even play much, just whine, whine and whine here) you, Poker Stars, have made your worst decision ever. You are going to regret doing this.
u definitely sound mad

good job stars

Or instead of not getting SNE...you could learn to actually play poker... LOL @ shorties saying OMG stars is going to lose my rake. Your ratholing scumbags aren't going anywhere because theres no where for u to go. Not to mention more FTP players will come and take your place because the games won't be so terrible.

Aren't you the same ignorant **** that was playing a 30BB stack at the 50BB tables and laughing about how the SSer's were ATM's once you figured out their range?

Shut the **** up.

it makes no sense to completely cut out this game when there are so many tables running at all times. If the crybabies don't want to play against shortstackers, play the 40-100bb tables.. I thought the 20-50 bb tables were made for that reason. Most of the ppl who whine about it probably don't even play the games and won't in the future.

I find it hilarious when people like you mention "real poker" or "learn to actually play poker".. This is a form of poker that shortstackers have learned how to play. The point of this game is to make $$, not find out who is the best at whatever stack size you determine is "real poker." So pompous of you to think 50 bb or whatever YOU decide is real poker and all other forms are.... well I don't know--- you tell me

The changes are a step in the right direction. My only complaint is that I still don't like how the buyins for the cap tables and the 40-100bb overlap.

But overall this is much better than the previous system.

i am a shortstacker myself and I have a hard time to belive the 20-50bb games and cap games are going to be that much different.

I think a lot of 100bb players think it is a bigger difference then it is because they remember the 20-100bbs games.
