PokerStars Ring Game Changes: Effective January 27th, 2011 - Page 3 - Internet Poker

Relax man. I've played a ton of hands at NL50 20-50bb, and at NL50 20bb CAP.

At CAP, I get a higher win rate (I never have to give up position on a fish due to stack size considerations), more VPP per hand (CAP games are, for now at least, looser than their 20-50 counterpart), and more hands per hour (no need to leave and rejoin).

I personally don't think VPP should be your driving concern here, but if it is, I assure you this announcement is all upside for you.

Since playing the CAP games I pretty much gave up on the 20-50bb games, mostly because not having to spend 75% of my time messing with the lobby was such a breath of fresh air.

I've a suspicion once all the 20-50bb regs are moved over to CAP the games will get a lot tougher, but I hope they're still beatable. If they become unprofitable for regs they might end up like the FT shallow tables, not many running but extremely fishy.

it makes no sense to completely cut out this game when there are so many tables running at all times. If the crybabies don't want to play against shortstackers, play the 40-100bb tables.. I thought the 20-50 bb tables were made for that reason. Most of the ppl who whine about it probably don't even play the games and won't in the future.

The changes are a step in the right direction. My only complaint is that I still don't like how the buyins for the cap tables and the 40-100bb overlap.

But overall this is much better than the previous system.

i am a shortstacker myself and I have a hard time to belive the 20-50bb games and cap games are going to be that much different.

I think a lot of 100bb players think it is a bigger difference then it is because they remember the 20-100bbs games.
