PokerStars quietly disabled Skrill & Neteller cashouts for players from Poland PokerStars quietly disabled Skrill & Neteller cashouts for players from Poland

I brought this up in another thread here but one of 2+2ers suggested to create a separate one so I decided I'll give it a try.

Few weeks ago PokerStars announced that they will stop serving deposits and withdrawals from/to Skrill and Neteller for players from Poland.
They stopped accepting deposits from these wallets 2 weeks ago or something like that and then they informed us that withdrawals will be available till August 11th. But they haven't even sent us any e-mails about that, they just posted it somewhere (I don't even know where since I read that on a Polish poker school site).

Given that, they should accept withdrawals till Aug 11 23:59 (CET or ET, whatever), but on Friday at ~noon (give or take ~2h, CET) those withdrawal options disappeared from our cashiers. Also, one of our players emailed them about this situation few days ago and they replied to him saying that "the date of 11 August is not official, but purely indicative".

I emailed them on Friday just before 22:00 CET (after realizing that I'm not able to make a withdrawal; couldn't really do this earlier because I was away from home all day) complaining that they removed these options too early, but they replied that they regret to inform me that they are no longer able to offer Skrill and Neteller blablabla with no reference to making it so quickly and basically silently. In another e-mail they mentioned that there's still an option called EcoPayz, but I'm not interested because 1) it requires making a deposit first and it would be inconvenient for me since AFAIK it's not possible to make a direct transfer from Skrill to EcoPayz; 2) after doing some calculations it seems that ATM withdrawal with that method would cost a total of ~5% of withdrawn amount whereas with Skrill (with Silver VIP status) it's 2.89%. Generally speaking, they are just like "we removed them when we wanted because that's what we wanted to do".

These two withdrawal options were the most popular ones in our country. I might be wrong or something, but IMO what they did is not fair. While I understand that decision was caused by legislation changes in Poland, for many of us this was a very important change so at least the dates should be strict, not indicative.

This is probably not a situation that will attract huge interest in our community, because this is just for one country and it seems like nobody except me cares about these 12 hours or something like that, but for me this is another thing that lowers my trust towards PokerStars. It's not only about that I was going to make an important withdrawal but about their attitude to such a big (for us) change.
We don't know what to expect next. Maybe one day they will announce that "as of sometime soon, we reserve the right to seize the funds from every account without giving a reason?"

It seems rough to hold PokerStars responsible for this - they likely want to allow you to use payment methods that you wish, but they might not be able to do so for reasons out of their control.

I don't blame them for legislation changes in Poland, or for having to disable Skrill/Neteller transfers due to those changes.
They didn't e-mail us, that was not nice, but they posted that information somewhere so I can even forgive them that.
The thing it's all about is that they disabled them in the middle of the last day they should be available - "till August 11" should mean "till August 11 23:59" and in my opinion this change was too major to make that deadline "indicative".
