Wound up taking about 600 hands to get my daily $1 lol .. so that wasn't as bad it seemed like it might be - but it seemed to take longer than the Card Hunt?

Maybe too many hands for a lot of people?

For me its takes around 500h for pyramid and nlhe/plo card hunts playing zoom 10$.

Why not run nlhe and plo promo at the same time and players can play bouth? At plo u get around x2 more rake then nlhe and players at plo tables were more then 1/2 of nlhe players pool at zoom 10$ stake? Like for piramid promo u could make it x3/4 for plo an thats around 500h.

Nice to have promos but i am not motivated to play all days so why not add some price for the players that manage to play all day or 75%+ of days like more random bonuses 1-5k$ in the end.

So many smart, good players in the 10nl pool - it can sometimes a bit tiring to play for very long (at least for me with my focus issues, and less-than-stellar play ) ... so yeah it'd be nice if there was a little extra bonus $ as encouragement to keep going and play more instead of take a day off

On the bright side, it's kind of fun to be able to play games and make snack money on the side - may treat myself to one of these fruit smoothies from McD's tomorrow with my $2 prize money, if it's as hot tomorrow as it was today

I'm a bit disappointed in the betstars 'summer football challenge' and 'penalty' challenges (UK client) for the Euro's... for what you have to do/risk and the prizes you can win (90% chance of winning 2 x 0.25c spin and go tickets), it's 100% not worth doing!

Yeah you could choose a avatar to support your country. Oh well avatars don't work anymore. Pretty sure it there is a promotion it's in the betting stars not poker.

lol oh really, I don't even remember that! Yeah the betstars promotions for the euro's aren't very good at all... too much to do for basically no reward!

I'd like to see a promotion soon where there are different difficulties again, and the harder the task, the better the reward. So we know what the reward is for completing the task, rather than a 'chance' of winning big.

Easy tasks complete = small reward
Medium tasks complete = average reward
Hard task complete = big reward

Cardhunts where the rewards are random have been going on for too long now IMO, bit too repetitive. I enjoy them, but I think difficulty challenges keeps it fresh, changes it up a bit.

Honestly wtf? Assuming exactly 1/2 odds - risk £25 for a 13% chance (if odds were true representation of probability so likely less) of $1.58 (average return on completion), so ev when you risk £25 is <$0.21. They make more than that from just one of your qualifying bets.

Can't be bother doing the math for the first one but from first glance it's even worse.

As an amateur football player myself, I like the idea of closing the bridge between poker and football (or sport in general). I see Pokerstars have already done this with their recent betting promotion, and by sponsoring players like Ronaldo and other football/sports ambassadors. But I think they should do more of this. More sport-based promotions - I think poker is viewed as more and more of a sport these days as opposed to just a game, and the promotions need to reflect this.

It is a shame really. With better prices it would have been a fun promotion, now it is just worthless.

When you phrase it like that you are implying that your risk:reward ratio is risking £25 for $0.21. But in reality the house will take roughly 5% of each bet at a guess, which means the average bettor can expect to get back around £24.

So a more useful comparison would be to compare the promo ev to the amount Stars can expect to rake on average from the bets. If we assume Stars rakes around $1 total then $0.21/$1=0.21. Which would be a 21% "rakeback" increase for the promo. Not saying it's great but it could be ok for someone who sports bets regularly, just as the Pyramid/Cardhunt promos are ok for players who play 10nl or 25nl regularly.
