I'm really disappointed by the fact that the Calendar consisted of 25 days and not 31-41. After all, Russia is a significant market, and the holidays here start on New Year's Eve (the Orthodox Christmas is on January 7).

I was hoping for today's challenge to be something like 'Win a hand with a straight flush in a $5M Sunday Million satellite for a random prize [with EV~$100]', but Santa / Ded Moroz has decided to put his bag away now

Yea i gotta say, it was pretty anticlimactic the christmas day promo. I mean it's worth less than a $20k all-in shootout! Was hoping for something bigger and more exciting for xmas so definitely disappointed. Santa where were you?

Couldn't find anuj's post where you mentioned how the monthly $100k was going to be reduced to $60k Thanks for the heads-up on that - it looks like they've got more details on the new system up now (banner in the lobby) - guess it'll be like the Daily Challenges are right now?

Guess this new system asks people to do a little more, but the rewards are less. Have personally been playing less poker this year - wish it were still possible to do better than breakeven at zoom tables ...

Only good thing about this promo is the challenges and asking them to play all types of games like zoom, sit n gos, spin, 1 scheduled mtt etc etc but question is for how long people will be playing these challenges and clicking those extra buttons? Also those 1k privileged freerolls ran all day but these new giveaways run only 4 times in a day. I have 5-6 giveaway tickets, used 2 of them in all in shootout because other freerolls start very late for me.

I hope one day I'll beat 25,000 players and win $50+$11 Sunday Storm ticket

Also would like to know how many players won the 180 sitngo challenge and how much money were awarded that day?

I too would like to know what Santa gave out or at least what the min / max prize were just out of curiosity. I find it odd there is no mention of any winners.

I know of one player that hit the $5000 prize for the sng promotion. And the online pro that hit the $5000 straight flush bonus. Never heard or seen a signal word about Santa being seen at tables.

dont think tcoop is for micormillions players. also only staring in january 21st. what about micromillion from jan 3 to 17. or even for one week from 10 to 17 would be nice

you are wrong if you think it couldnt be succesfull because of tcoop and vica versa.
but i guess amaya thinks that way and they are wrong, so unfortunatelly i know it will not happen

Over 1700 players received cash from Santa.

The 180-man promo - there were over 20 $5K winners. We went way over our expected spend on that particular promotion as the EV was fantastic for players who grinded for the prize.

As we evaluate the Christmas Calendar promotion, I'd be interested in your overall feedback and ideas if we do it again.

Matthew,

Will Pstars go back to value added Live Event starcoin sats like a few years ago where nearly every Live Event had a value added sat?

I'm not talking about the one offs like PCA/Monte Carlo but a regular stream of them for regional events.

How much cash in total? (Name the order of magnitude - there's no need for an exact number.)

Well, first you added the casino to the offering, then you came up with a promo that required about as much mental effort as chasing an overdue slot jackpot by turbo autoplay, and you're yet wondering why you've encountered so many customers with the bonus whore mindset. Shrug.

Thanks for paying half my December life expenses within one day, bring on weekly reincarnations of the promo (with variations, of course) with an EV of ~$50 each (or varying by the stakes played like Battle of the Planets used to). Thanks!

180-man promo was one of the best promos PS had in a long time. You should have more of these and also make it little easier for players who don't want to put imba volume, like asking to them cash 5 180s, final table 2 180s, play 10 180s etc - wont mind getting less reward for these challenges. Also loved the straight flush challenge even though I gave up both these challenges :'( $5k reward was one of the big reasons why these challenges were super successful.

Overall christmas calendar promotion was great except for couple of tasks/challenges like $1k freeroll frenzies - they could have been $10k and could have run every in 4-5 hrs. We already have $1k privileged freerolls. And also 0.01 cent on christmas day was very anticlimactic, we were expecting something big on last day of the calendar.

Also didn't like santa day promotion, imo it was very poorly executed, would have been nice if min prize/max prize was mentioned in the promo. Didn't play much because of this lack of info. I'm gonna guess you had to adjust because you ended up giving more than you expected in those 180-man promo and straight flush challenge.

Lots of feedback was given in this thread, from page 12-26. I've some more ideas which I'll post later.

Thanks for the promotion. [Still you guys owe us 1 micro millions series ]

Unlike others I see the value in the Freerolls every 30 minutes. They didn't appeal to me but see how they would to low micro players.

The straight flush was the one I liked the best and different variants of this could be applied in future promotions. Ex. Get a full house for X bonus ... Straight Flush for X bonus or Royal Flush for max value. You could also use a variant of this for tourney games with a Straight / Royal Flush bonus for the day. Hitting a Royal in a tourney gives buy in back for example.

I would suggest like others have to leave the best for last.

Too bad I missed out on the 180 man promotion. I did log in to see what was offered for the day but didn't give it much thought as I don't usually play 180 man sng. Congrats to those that hit the $5K.

Like others have said was expecting a big finish so logging in on Xmas day to see a 1 cent tournament was a bit Scrooge.

Santa promotion had zero info and still unclear how it worked. Did Santa occupy a seat at the table? Did Santa get seat scripted by the same 5 Russians and that's why no-one on the internet seems to have won?

Liked the Straight Flush, Mega Bonus and 180's promotions. Still struggle to see how all-in shootouts with 25c equity appeal to anyone.

I thought there was a little bit of good, and a little bit of not so good.

The best promotions are the ones that give away instant cash bonuses, such as the 180-man challenge, and the straight-flush challenge, golden SNGs, etc...
My only complaint about the 180-man challenge is that it was next to impossible to win if you only had an hour or two available to play, or if you have never played these games before. As others have suggested, the promotion might be better off awarding two in-the-money finishes, or two final table finishes. Or maybe even a tiered system with one prize for cashing twice, a larger prize for two final tables, and then an even larger prize for winning twice.

Middle of the road were the challenges that rewarded all-in shootout tickets. It's nice to at least get the chance to win an extra cash prize in the shootout, but at the same time with the pennies that we get back, it's not worth it if the challenge itself takes more than just a couple of minutes to complete. Although maybe that's exactly why the shootouts aren't worth anything; because the challenge is so easy there are 25k players in the shootout. Maybe even these challenges need to be more difficult so the number of players that win entry is smaller?

The worst ones for me personally were the ones that gave an all-in shootout ticket for playing X number of Spin-N-Gos. I'm not a fan of Spin-N-Gos, so the reward of a chance at maybe winning an extra dollar isn't enough to entice me to play any Spins. I think that may apply to most players for differing game types (disliking SNGs, MTTs, Cash, ZOOM, etc...).

Another complaint I have as a casual player is that each individual challenge was only available for one day at a time. I think some of the promotions, such as Golden SNGs, are much better served over a longer period of time (3 - 7 days). For other, simpler challenges (play 1 Spin-N-Go, win a hand with XY, etc...), these fit well within one day but it can be frustrating if we happen to be unavailable to play on the only day(s) these promotions run (e.g. a fan of Spins but can't play each day Spin-related promos run).
One suggestion for this would be to run promotions for multiple game-types concurrently for a period of a few days, but the player can only opt-in to one of the challenges each day (e.g. for 4 days, player can opt-in to either win X Spins, win Y hands of ZOOM, win Z SNGs, etc... and can choose a new challenge each of the 4 days). I think last year had four different promotions, where each one lasted a week in duration. I was a fan of that.

Normally I play every freeroll I get the chance to play, including the all-in shootouts. Even if there is low EV, at least there is something, and no work is required.

I skipped the 1k freerolls because there were a huge number of entrants in each which resulted in pennies for the payouts (unless you final tabled), but unlike the all-in shootouts these would have taken at least an hour of work to earn those pennies. The tournament was also structured almost like a hyper-turbo (5 minute blinds, 1k starting stack), and I hate playing tournaments with that type of structure.

I understand your view but to me the structure is one of the things I like about them. If you are going to offer a game that thousands of players are going to be in with low payouts make it a turbo with low starting stack.

They start every 30 minutes so there is a chance you could be playing in multiple of these freerolls at any given time. And an even better chance you go out early and don't waste hours of you time to bust before the money like you might have in a 10 - 15 level blind structure.

Not going to argue about all in shootout being a better way to go as we agree on that.

It should be clarified in today's promotion that multi-table SNGs don't count towards finishing the "Tournament Challenge". There are some SNGs that appear under the Tournaments tab.
