Didn't participate in the Millionaire promo, and haven't been playing the CardMatch - may give it a try though, now that it's available at the Omaha tables?

Back when was still posting over at Poker School Online, seem to remember there being someone who would always have to ask us all to come play with them at the Omaha Hi/Lo Zoom tables, because they would rarely run - and right now it looks like there's a handful of people playing? So maybe now's my chance to give it a try while there's a little bonus available

Gave the PLO Card Match a try - looks like the CardMatch cards use the whole deck, not just Broadway cards? Are these cards maybe harder to complete than the NL ones?

Looks like a bit too much play for the prizes being offered, for me - guess will have to go back to spending time outside in the fresh air and sunshine

from a couple day small sample size seems PLO is completed much quicker (while ignoring cards i've completed all ~6 or so in one attempt), probably why they seemingly made the prizes half of what they were for NL (which is kind of a joke) , my max prize available has been half the buy in

Do Card Match prizes not show up in your transaction history?

Hey thanks for posting more about the Omaha Card Match TreadLightly! Was reading with great interest - at first was like ... takes less time, oh? And then was like ... half the prize, oh ...

Would have been super disappointed to give it another go, only to find it was twice the rake for half the prize, so thanks!!


@walkby, haven't been playing but seem to remember only the one from the Challenge window showing up, and not the one at the table - but am not sure?

Thanks for responding, TrustySam. Card Match seems to be done entirely at the table. I'll try to clear it again and see if it shows up.

Update: I've received a $1 prize twice through Card Match and neither times has it been recorded in my transaction history. I'll assume Card Match prizes are not meant to be recorded there and suggest that PokerStars include them there in the future.

I noticed something today inside the "PokerStars.log.0" file, and realized it might be helpful for anyone complaining about how much CardMatch slows down their machine or whatever. Not recommending anything, just sharing an observation.


If you are a reasonably smart techie you could theoretically modify your local HOSTS file to make it to "go away" (I would presume, I never tried this so YMMV, do anything at your own risk, etc. etc.)


I saw that the log file contains this kind of line:

^ if you paste that url into a normal web browser you will notice it redirects to a different domain:

https://cashier.rationalcdn.com/card...space=%20&_n=1


So in other words, it seems this is just a pretty simple alias:
https://www.app-cardmatch.com/?* --> https://cashier.rationalcdn.com/card...bserver.html?*

Therefore, the smart and motivated among you can figure out how to use this info vis. your local HOSTS file (or some other method) to make CardMatch truly go away. Just be careful, notice the latter URL is cashier.rationalcdn so it would be crucial to include the later path part of the URL if you do any kind of address restricting, or you might break your PS cashier functionality and who knows what else! Again, YMMV etc. etc.

Pokerstars promo s/challenges in 2017 are a joke , full of casino crap ,and where there is a poker challenge the prizes are so small its even not worth it to go for it ,and the took our yearly bonusses away frome the store , its getting worse and worse , so my idea for pokerstars is look back in the past ,where everything was fine.

Just won the top prize for 25nl's CardMatch ($50). Does anyone know what the odds are for the different prizes? Searched Google and this thread but couldn't find anything.

Regarding Chests:

If a chest gives me a package to an event in a country that doesn't give visa-free access to Russian citizens*, shall I be allowed to exchange it for a package to a PSC leg of my choice (e.g. Sochi) or maybe even for online tournament tickets or T$ worth at least half the value of the package?

* Ideally, you should tune the personalised reward engine not to give such prizes at all to those who're expected to have problems with redeeming them. Maybe make a tickbox in the client settings allowing one to prohibit it from awarding live packages, forcing it to replace them with randomised online ticket prizes of slightly smaller expected value.

I'm new here and i don't know if it's the right place to post my question so sorry in advance if it's not the case.

I'm writing to complain about pokerstars restricting account policy and they are right now totally ignoring my emails despite i have answered all their questions.

Moreover they have chosen yesterday the big day of the SCOOP main events to choose to act like this.

To sum up, my wife also have an account registered on pokerstars, she sometimes play and i like to coach her and advise her on her game, but i 100% don't have access to her account, and she does not have access to mine, she just likes to play for fun so i sometimes transfer funds to her so that she can play.
The proof is that they have sent the account restriction email to her email address so it didn't find me since i don't have access to her email box, so i didn't know about this matter until i saw my account was frozen.

Pokerstars customer service already asked me in the past about that matter and i have answered and sent all the documents they required (marriage contract, utility bill...)

So i don't understand why they put this matter again on the table, actually i think i do, i wrote them an email 2 days before they restricted my account telling them that i was planning to quit playing on their site but i was thanking them for the good times spent, and that i just want to do something else in my life but i wanted to wish them the best
Why would they react like that?

They are right now taking more than 1 day to answer my multiple emails, and i'd like to play tonight and maybe tomorrow for the last 2 days of the SCOOP, i was already very disappointed that i couldn't play the main events...

This is an unexpected behaviour from such a large room and also to a customer who's registered on their site and play regularly from almost 10 years.

Are some members of the customer service registered on this site so that they can accelerate my account re-activation?

What reason did they give for restricting your account?

"After an initial investigation, evidence has come to our attention suggesting that the following accounts may have been accessed by players other than their registered owners. In order to collect your feedback, we would like to ask you to please explain your relationship to the accounts mentioned below..."

They already asked me about it before, and it was solved. The weird behaviour is that they ask me again about it one day after i've sent them an email saying that i will auto exclude myself as long as i can to be able to focus on other activities. I have my bankroll on still in the account obviously.

And of course they take more than a day to answer a single email, ask new questions and wait for another day to answer.

It sucks since it was my dream to try to play the 10k main event before i quit.

We would be cheaters if it was SNG 6 max and if we were sitting at the same table, but i never play that, it concerns only big field MTT.

Pokerstars offers so many tournaments with re-entry available on some of them that it just doesn't make sense to be willing to gain an edge on such a format by "sharing an account"

Also my volume of playing is much more bigger than my wife's account.

Maybe it's just me but this seems to be a pretty strange thing to do. It's not like a home game involving buddies that you were planning to quit.

I was secretly hoping that i would run better for the main event by showing them some gratitude...

I might look like a tard fish and i maybe am, but yeah i have spent some long and good time playing on their site and i also wanted them to know before i quit

Anyone know know how much worse these "stars rewards" chest things are going to be than the current vip system?
