Yeah, mine was 50c. Looks like they upped the minimum stakes for a ragedollar, can anyone with $1 minimum prize post their minimum stakes?

Struggling to see how cents will motivate anyone. As far as I can see there's no games you can buy in for 20c, smallest Spin + Go is 25c.

Top prize is $5k (at least on mine), where does the "million dollar" part come in? Others have higher max prize? Is that just a meaningless tagline now?

Minimum buy-in is based on your normal level of play. The maximum payout is $5000 a day for everyone, presumably if you play higher your odds of hitting a higher payout improve. Pokerstars could be much more transparent about things but this is perfectly inline with what they have been saying, going forward promotions would be tailored to the individuals historic play. This is an improvement for the 2NL and 5NL players who were excluded from all previous cardhunt promo's. They tell us the average deposit is $20 so this makes sense why exclude the majority of your player base from being eligible to participate.

The million dollar part is just marketing hype and is based on what they expect to payout over the two week life of the promo.

This one seems fair, reasonable and inline with what they have told us to expect. Yeah there is lots to complain and bash Pokerstars over but I don't think this is one of them.

i just played The Deal moments before actual jackpot was hit. No email or popup about my share. This is not first time this happened. I already contacted support about this issue. Can someone confirm same happened to him/her?

1.) popup about someone will be spinning for jackpot.
2.) i open the deal table and my play is done before actual spinning on jackpot (i should be entitled for possible win)
3,) user hit the jackpot
4,) most of the time i recieve the popup about my share. this time not.

i remember at least 2 cases when i didnt recieve any popup or email and since i dont see this in my cashier history (WHY?) i have no idea if it was awarded or not.

Wasn't part of the last one - but did notice The Deal spinner window acting up ...

- after opening the window, it caused all my other programs to freeze, and wouldn't allow me to close the spinner window to try and unfreeze everything
- then after closing up the client, my 'user.ini' file went back to default settings

Hopefully somebody else'll be along who was bought into the last Jackpot who'll be able to share how things went for them

Congratulatory emails are still an option within the client settings. They haven't turned them off or disabled them. I've always had mine enabled and am to this minute, still currently receiving the emails.

You might want to check both your client settings and your personal email settings to make sure there not being blocked and everything is as it needs to be, in order for you to receive them.

Are these worth the time? or just a nic elittle perk for something you are already doing

In that post, I was talking about the emails PS sent out with regards to The Deal, which they seem to have abandoned for no good reason.

Sounds like the CardMatch customization has widened even more now, has it? Is this the first time it's been offered to some people at 2nl?

Am still being offered 10nl, where the min-prize has dipped down to $0.50 - and today's card is all K's. So the rake's still pretty high for a ChromeStar like me even after the promo bonus - looks like it's $19 over 2,500 hands, and have only made something like $6 in promo money


Also The Deal seems to have really slowed down! Have forgotten to go back and play it a couple of times and wound up missing out on the Jackpot hitting. Some nice extra bonus $ to be made for a microstakes player - but guess it takes a little bit of dedication and commitment

No, there was the trouble a couple of times with the Cash Game tickets not working, the free ticket for the starcode that didn't work, it kinda made me go like, why do I even try, it's everyday something new lately that doesn't work.

Oh, and that cardhunt thing, getting 20 cents was kinda a bummer on top of it. I'll not do that again.

I totally love million dollar card hunt as a NL5 zoom player =) too much really because today I’m going to play against my rule of never playing under strong influence of beer! I’m not sure if ever I had an opportunity to enjoy your promos before, so I’m easily forgiving it’s a bit bugged. Giving tourney tickets to cash players is so wrong lol. And no, I can calculate the ev, I enjoy it because it changes a game just enough.

Promo ideas:
1. Instant rake refund (for example winning with aces) Limp or raise, hmmm….
2. Long term hand counter; play 1000 hands per 3 days win 10cents, play 5000 win 50 cents and so on. Well you get the idea, by no means this is the way to do it, but the core hopefully is there.
3. Another long term: win with every card on the deck.

I suggest giving crazy goals too, there is always one out of million able of doing it, the price should be reflective to difficulty here. Like win a million by winning 4 times a row with AA etc..
