Regarding this: I was told: "We are going to run this once more at the end of the month for players with unexpired tickets.".

I think the promotions should encourage players to go above and beyond what they would normally do. Promotions that reward you for doing something you would have done anyways don't gain you (PS) anything. In fact, it may even have the opposite effect (and sort of did for me). It makes me feel as if the only reason I should play is to earn the reward, and if the reward is low, the player's "normal" volume may decrease.
I think I didn't explain what I meant clearly enough. Let me give you an example - there is a group of players who like spin&go's. Those players can be classified as liking fast action, high degree of randomness, enjoying a chance to win. Sending a player like this a promotion around the Sunday Million is probably a poor idea because even if they respond to it and play the Sunday Million, it isn't the experience that they have shown they enjoy. Sending that player something that gives them incentive to play 10 Spin&go instead of 5 is absolutely the kind of thing we should do - they are being asked to do something they enjoy doing, but do it more, which in theory should lead to a more pleasant overall experience.

Hopefully you're getting better reward for your 100nl challenge.

This is what I'm getting for 10nl

Hello Dylan,

Thanks for the clarification and after looking at a sample playing history I do see that additional VPPs are awarded for each rebuy+addon.

However, my initial concern was because of the description in the tournament lobbies of rebuy tournaments, as shown in the example image below, taken from a $3.50+R 180-person SitnGo

By reading the (only) sections related to VPPs issued in this particular tournament lobby, one would assume that VPPs are only awarded on the initial buyin fee regardless if any rebuys or addons are taken.

Perhaps a clearer description such as "earn at least 1.10 VPP", "earn a minimum of 1.10 VPP" or "earn 1,10 VPP per buyin" would be a bit better in these circumstances?

Again. many thanks for your prompt response and for easing my confusion.

The promo has been individualised to each player.

Whilst the max win for every player is $5000, the prizes below that have been adjusted to reflect the minimum buy-in stakes required for each player.

My min buy-in stake required is higher than that of the OP but, my prizes are also higher than anuj22's for example.

It's not 'literally' different for every player (eg: 250,000 different buy-in/prize versions of the same promo).

Pokerstars use some sort of program that, analyses all the players previous playing data and then groups players into a particular buy-in/prize version of a promo based on that.

Out of 250,000 players for example, 100,000 might be set at minimum 10nl, 100,000 might be set at 100nl and 50,000 might be set at 200nl.

All I mean't by saying it's individualised is that, it's not the exact same promo set-up on offer for every player (some players will be offered something slightly different to others in terms of buy-ins/prizes, as shown already by the posts in this thread).

Thanks for pointing that out, you're right that the wording is unclear. I'll see if we can adjust the wording to avoid any confusion in the future.

Dylan

HEY dylan. Since Pokerstars is 110% comitted to fun players and great experiences why do you as a site continue to contradict this philosophy by continuing to allow advanced huds or huds in general, seating scripts, and other advanced tools that give massive edges over these players, which these same fun and recreational players will never use or have the significant time to learn? Is it because you simply don't employ the quality of security anymore to detect or follow up on alerts, or does pokerstars have financial interests in these third party tools? Can you enlighten us as to why this contradiction continues?

Have PokerStars changed the rules for players sharing the jackpot split in The Deal? Or have they just stopped sending out congratulatory emails for the payouts? If it's the latter, then why?

The emails seemed to have stopped with the new year. I noticed Jan 1st a mystery jump in my balance but no email, then there were two payouts back to back today, I was online for the second one so got the pop up but no emails.

I have congratulatory email notifications turned off, so maybe they started going by that for The Deal notifications but were mot in the beginning? While I do not want the congratulatory emails for tournaments, they are a major nuisance when grinding sit & go's or spin & go's, I would like them for The Deal so I can reconcile the random small jumps in my balance.

+1 found out today via support request and was able to register for the daily shootout yesterday and am also registered for the weekly next Sunday - but today the dailys are gone.

Support told me they will be back "today" for the month to use up the tickets.

I really dont care for this promo, but still have lots of tickets from the challenges and people could deposit with the codes for tickets until the end that they would never be able to use. It's not that PS couldn't have known that there are tons of tickets valid until eom before ending the tourneys..

Well, sadly such things seem to be the new standard.

I have congratulatory emails enabled, but don't get them anymore, so I guess they turned them off completely. Pretty dumb not to give us the option.

Same thing happened last week with the tickets and no tournaments available, they fixed it, I suppose they'll fix it again.

Anyway, there is good news also, I won 20 cents in today's cardhunt.

Really good move by bringing the deal jackpot in ps client. Rarely played this when it was on ftp client. I guess this means you will be retiring ftp client now that they are basically the same except for table themes.

I'd love to see this progressive jackpot element in mtt(s) or any other form of poker.

Imagine Sunday Storm with progressive jackpot prizepool where players have the option if they would want to enter the jackpot by paying 100 star coins along with $11 buy in or something like that and if they hit a royal flush(or any damn criteria for hitting jackpot) in that tourney, he/she win 25/50% of the jackpot and rest of the jackpot gets added to the tourneys prizepool? This would boost the no. of entrants each week if the jackpot doesn't hit.

Would definitely play that!

Have told this story before, about how during the Carnival promo a couple of years ago, Star was giving away some tiny bonus of tournament tickets, like about $45 worth - and something like three times as many of us as usual showed up to play the first tourney of the promo

It seems strange that so little might make such a big difference - but maybe there's quite a few of us who play the occasional tournament who don't really sign up expecting to win, but hope more to get lucky? So any time there's a bonus prize, it's two chances to make a little cash back?

Although, back then the structures were a lot better, so a couple of dollars would provide a couple of hours of fun. Guess the structures are a lot faster now.

That's a really neat idea anuj - would be lovely to see Stars try out some of your ideas

Glad you liked it

Haha yeah same story here the only time I ever played mini-sunday million was when they were giving away mtt tickets (or was it cash bonus?) even though I knew I had a very little chance but I still played it. Had there been no giveaways I wouldn't have even bothered to play that tourney

PS. Crumblepie, hope you were able to get your free ticket?

Entered that CardHunt. Took a while 4 tabling grinding it out.
Worst case scenario in these things is always a dollar.
