This guy slimes his way into an amazing opportunity someone else is not getting and turns out to be a complete douche whose dream ambition is to abuse the system for a couple of VPP's.

I have no feelings either way about Chiren. I do not get all the whining about what he is or now was doing. So what if he is a ps pro, he found a smart option for gaining vpps to free up his time in his trek for sne. congrats to him. As a serious ps grinder I have no issue with it, I think it is smart and not cheating anyone.

I mean, it's obviously a PR move on their part to get the WOW and MMORPG crowd because they certainly know he can't play to save his life, and I think as such it's a great move.

It benefits serious players because these video game pros come and think playing poker is like farming for gold and end up dropping 320 Bis at NL10, so it adds to the player pool, and not exactly in the shark category.

So yeah, although I always thought this guy was a sketchy douche, I liked the PR move from PS, but now this....it's a little too much.

meh, they arent going to cancel a promo because someone stole what amounts to pocket change from them. Hell if you wanna twist an argument like that, we could easily say that chiren is giving money to all the players, since stars could confiscate his account and then that money goes back to the community!

Also, he is a real player, hes not imaginary, and if you look at the people they selected to be a team online pro, most of them are FPP grinding losers/BE players like chiren.

By a "real player" I mean a grateful player taking responsibility for the opportunity given and at least try not to mock his fellow microstakes grinders.

I don't think what chiren was doing was all that bad, but the lieing about it and fake explanation while trying to uhh "game" the site he represents is pretty un-pro behaviour. That's life.
