I have other scenarios in my head that I don't care to type out in detail. I'd rather hear PokerStars comment on it. Guess we'll wait and see what they say.
All you have to do is read the OP/FAQ. If you want to continue playing ROW (or aren't sure), make a new NJ account, and DO NOT migrate your old account.

Greetings from PokerStars.

Please note that your account is currently suspended for real money play, according to our records you have provided an ID document that unfortunately is not acceptable to validate your account.
the same papers that id verified me on borg, party,888,wsop are no good for psnj and just my luck i dont have the very papers that they are asking for now (a drivers license, gov id, or passport. )

i hope this is just a beta glitch and ill be good to go. after all i was already id verified.

so has anyone else been id verified and then unverified or just me?

I thought I was, but I messed up and migrated my ROW account, that's on me and I accept that. My question is what happens now if I move abroad to play? My ROW account was converted over to NJ, so would I have to make another account if I wanted to play ROW? If so this could be a huge issue for obvious reasons I mentioned in my post.

I've talked to several online pros both in NJ and abroad and no one is certain of the answer to this, rightfully so. I've reached out to PS on this issue, so we'll wait and see what they say. I'm hoping I'm wrong and they have this covered, but the question is worth raising.

PLEASE let me know how this works out for you. I'm really leaning, more so no choice, toward just grinding at the cheapest hotel with the best wifi for weekends at a time.

I had previously been a PokerStars player and used my PS account to play on StarsDraft this past fall. I emailed support who told me that after transferring my account, I would no longer be able to use it on StarsDraft. Should I ever want to return there, would I create a new account?

So I was supposed to have a support transcript emailed to me, and nothing went wrong in it, but instead I was sent a blank email from dad@pokerstars.support. Hmmmm....

I see that our Star levels (SilverStar, GoldStar, etc.) need to be reached or maintained by March 31. Dylan, surely this shouldn't be right since we are starting mid month?

From Borgata:

Any VPN or VNC software can interfere with the geolocation process. These kinds of software cannot be running during gameplay. Some examples include: Witopia, OpenVPN, or HMA.
Since it used to work on your old PC, and all platforms will not geolocate on your new laptop, an RDP seems a likely culprit.
Thanks! I got it working. I went into Task Manager and disabled everything except McAffee to start up. I then went into processes and killed Team Viewer and something starting with VPN.

Other people may have the same problem so it should be somewhere on the Stars page too. But when I click on geolocation FAQs you get a dead link. This support guy was nice but he didn't know how to help.

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure. See my post above if you run into problems when you get it regarding potential software that may get into the way

usb adapter will work
03-19-2016 , 12:53 AM
Wireless adapter seems to be free in the store for those who need/want it. It's says it cost 0 StarsCoin and you need to be BronzeStar VIP. When you click on it it says to apply the PokerStars Coupon to redeem this item. Maybe you get the code if you email support? I know Ultimate sent you a free one if you needed it when they operated in NJ.

Things have been great! Its good to have you back!

Just want to add a problem to the list so you can fix it. The shortcuts Stars created on my desktop when I installed it start to open the program looks like its loading, but nothing ever appears. Same for the quicklaunch button.

I opened Stars from the C:/PokerStarsUSNJ location, but when I tried to drag it to my desktop to make it easier in the future, it said to contact support when I tried to open it.

Someone explain to me how the VIP tiers work because I don't totally get it.

Every site I've ever played on works like this:

You accumulate player points at rate X, this rate never changes but as you go up in VIP tiers those points become more valuable. As in when you are bronze player you can exchange your 100 player points for 5 dollars but when you are a gold player you can exchange your same 100 player points for 10 dollars. Basically all your play which happened when you were a bronze player you receive rakeback at whatever the highest level you earn that month or year is, it's all retroactive.

My understanding of the pstars system:

It seems like the way stars does it is that value of the points never changes (I am currently silverstar but still the only coins exchange I see is the bronze level 1000 coins per 10 dollars) you just earn more of them per "step" as you increase in tiers. So my play that is happening while I am at a bronzestar level I am only receiving an effective rakeback rate of 8-9% right?

So on stars you only get rakeback at whatever level you are at at that particular time? When I get to supernova, only from that point forward will I be receiving supernova level rewards/rakeback? All my play before that will be rewarded based on my level of whatever I am at each given point in time? It isn't retroactive like most VIP systems?

I have this all correct?

And if I do have it all correct that means there is no reason to wait to exchange your coins right? You might as well just do it every time you hit 1000?

Yes it works for me. I also created a new hh folder for stars and used the same path on pokertracker.

Agreed finding spots to put your hud is an issue. Maybe there is a custom mod out the that works better than the stars choices.

Anybody have a tips for setting up the preflop bet slider to allow for easy bet sizing for three and four bets?

In all seriousness though, this soft launch has gone way better/smoother than the other sites official launches went. I have enjoyed playing on stars again. The deposits are quick and the software is cool once you get used to it.

It seems like most of the bugs are minor-ish and people having trouble merging accounts. Props to you guys

Basically each VIP tier is broken down into steps at the completion of a step you get X amount of stars coins. The higher vip tier the more coins you get. The cash rebate cost for money vs stars coin is the same but the amount of coins you get is different based on tier.

One thing that confused me is the website said gold star+ gets a conversion rate of $150 for 10,000 stars coins instead of $100 but I think this is inaccurate.

On another note the $600 sign up bonus says in the TOS says $10 per 100 VPPS but I have 1500 vpps atm and have only earned $100 from my bonus. Other players I have spoken to at the table confirmed it is the same for them as well.
