I made my first deposit and never saw a place to enter the bonus code. I did send an email to support, but haven't heard back yet.

Where are you supposed to enter it? I looked for it on every page through the deposit process and never saw it. Did I miss it or is it not showing for some reason?

I wanted to use the "Free50" code. Player name FtheNYY (Red Sox fan, obviously lol)

I had the same experience.

I emailed support thru the client and they manually applied the bonus to my account within an hour.

So the way this account creation process works, and maybe I'm wrong, if so fill me in. Any ROW reg can fly over to NJ, convert their ROW acct to NJ acct (which I did) then head back abroad and create a new account? If this is true, this seems like a terrible idea. Your .com account should always remain your .com acct, idk why players can even convert them that's just silly.

Since it's a new laptop, have you checked the list of installed sw to make sure there's no "remote" SW running? Maybe some remote Helpdesk SW from your laptop manufacturer? One or more of the NJ sites have a list of SW that will prevent geolocation.

Has anyone gotten the auto import on PT4 to work? I can manually import, but no auto detection works.

Is this in reference to ROW FTP points only or those of us who had lots of FTPs when the U.S.-friendly Full Tilt went south? I would love to get credit for those and my status there converted.

Spin and Goes seem to kill my sound after a while.

I will get to as many unanswered questions as possible tomorrow - in the meantime just a quick announcement that tomorrow (Saturday) night will be our first tournament with a guarantee. Here are the details:

Tournament: NJ Saturday Kick-off
Guarantee: $5,000
Buy-in: $30
Time: 9pm

Best of luck if you're playing it.

Regards,
Dylan

I have, although I find that the way that the Stars tables are laid out doesn't leave much room for HUD stats to be there without covering everything.

I had to manually point it at the Hand History folder though. And note, that for it to work, it has to be pointed at
....../Hand History/<Your User Name> NOT JUST
....../Hand History/

I find it odd that they are stating it is a DGE requirement when no other sites that is regulated in New Jersey that required me to provide that information. If I did not pass verification through their online registration, I was requested to submit a photocopy of my ID, not an issue, and a photocopy of a utility bill within the last couple of months.

I guess I might be anal in the fact that sending my SSN over email is not something I wish to do.

PokerStars, please get your verification process up to snuff so that I can deposit...
thank God its ur ss card and NOT a utility bill theres tons of people, like me, who never ever receive or pay any type of utility bill--what else are they to do if theyre on a site which requests this? when they have none

I just tried with a live Stars help desk man. He couldn't see anything on his end.

If I go to my task manager how do I know if it is a remote SW?

I'm on an new ASUS laptop with Windows 10. I thought I saw someone else having a problem?

Edit - got it working!

Is anyone else having problems with the sound going out while playing and not returning (for any program) until you quit stars? I think it happens maybe when another table steals focus in the middle of a sound?

PokerStars Dylan,

Why are players allowed to covert their ROW accounts to NJ accounts?
I did this as you know, (by mistake) so I now have my ROW PS account as my NJ account. If I were to move abroad and play with ROW players (it's a likely possibility) I'd be able to create a new account and play anonymous? I could be missing something here, but if this is in fact true it seams awful. ROW accounts should never be able to convert to NJ accounts, your ROW account should always remain your .com account, no?

This opens up another door to established, well known regs coming over to NJ to convert their .com accounts to NJ accounts. Then flying back to wherever they live abroad and opening a new account, since their ROW account has now been converted over to NJ. They could essentially continue to play against ROW players, yet anonymously under a new screen name. This would basically change their online identity, which is obviously a big no.

If this is already covered as it may very well be, how about a player who hasn't yet activated their ROW account since Black Friday (me) but always wanted to? They can now come to NJ for a weekend if they don't already live in the state, convert their ROW account to their NJ account (as I did), then move abroad and take the steps in opening a new account. Even though their previous account (now their NJ account) was a well known online handle back in the day, etc.

I could be missing this completely and this may have already been covered by support and I missed it. If so just disregard this.

Yeah the sound thing is a known bug. Unfortunately, it's not getting fixed for three weeks or so.

I am still unable to migrate my account from ROW to NJ. I first attempted to download the software and migrate the account on Wednesday, when I was told that my account had a problem and to contact support to resolve the problem.

I had to contact them 4 times to get acknowledgement and received it 15 hours after my initial request, and the first response was a promotional e-mail and not an answer. I also was told by Dylan I would have an answer in this thread, but never saw a post or received a PM regarding this answer.

I finally received a response yesterday evening from my initial e-mail to support, which said as follows:

Hello xxxx,

Sorry for your issue.
At this time we would strongly suggest you to go ahead and create a brand new account for the pokerstarsnj.com site.

Regards,
Kevin
Pokerstars New Jersey Security

I played on Pokerstars from Dec 2005 until Black Friday. Will I lose this status once I open a new account? It sure seems that the answer is yes, based upon this response. And if that is the case, why? There has been no explanation why I cannot migrate my account and possibly lose my VIP status, and there appears to be nothing I can do about it.

Everyone is talking about the great experiences with Pokerstars support thusfar. I have not had the same experience. I would appreciate any help.

I can live with it for three weeks. Is it just in spin and gos or all over the place?
