Surprised to see the .01-.02 2-7 triple draw (or whatever it is) now being offered. I was the one whining about pumping up 5-card draw with a .01-.02 table, so I was disappointed to see the other game.

I would think many .01-.02 players probably aren't that familiar with 2-7 TD, but at least they'd likely know how to play 5-card draw.

I see no traffic on those lowball games when I log in, but at least you'd have one player sitting and waiting for action at 5-card draw.

With that being said, I feel like the price point is going to be too high and these might end up like the 250 PSKO that used to be on the schedule.
I was always wondering why it was removed? Seemed to me that the satellite to it overlayed, but the MTT was fine (I thought, I only played once or twice.)

i used to be one of those waiting for 5 card draw tables, and the stud variants too but my roll is on other sites. the nonholdem variants that run are stars are above my cash game limits for online poker (at least when i saw them running)- but acceptable for live.

i didnt get why the triple draw was offered so low either. was nice to play it again to brush up for cheap but even at the low stakes i only saw it run a few times to catch it. when i was looking to play cash

There won't be cash games at this first PokerStars Festival New Jersey event though it's something we're actively looking at for future events.

I failed to mention earlier that if you're planning travel, you can get help booking your hotel and airport transfers by going to www.pokerstarstravel.com

Wont be attending this series due to starting days conflicting with work and not wanting to take off for Day 1 & 2 of an MTT. Please reconsider having the main event in the future be like Day 1a Fri, Day 1b Sat, Day 2 Sunday Day 3 Monday - Play to winner. Mimic your tournaments how Parx does and you will have success in this region. They dont even put guarantees on their tournaments and get 1500+ for 330s, 800+ for 550s, and usually 450+ for their 1100/1500

^^^ +1 - especially with no cash games running...I think it would have been way better to hold off on running an event like this until the room was open...sure there will still be a draw, but it would have made far more of an impact to hold this simultaneously with a grand opening - maybe sometime around Jimmy Buffett's 70th birthday (Christmas Day)...

the problem with starting days on friday and sat are that then hotel prices are super expensive and people complain about them and don't go...

parx doesn't have to worry about that as much because theyr'e in the middle of nowhere and hotel prices don't fluctuate as much based on days of the week.

there's a reason borgata has always run their mains on sunday/monday starting days...

dylan, this super tuesday is going to be a massive pain to get started at 6pm, esp with a guarantee this low.

needs to start at least at 6:30 to have any shot.

also, come on, get it in the lobby again for 7pm and we'll get it started today. can we get it re deployed for tonight?
08-30-2016 , 06:00 PM
Looks like the Super Tuesday isn't gonna go off. I'm not entering because I need to win a satty to play, but I am ripping all the satties. The problem is the earliest satty started at 5:30 and the Super Tuesday is starting at 6:00. This satty isn't gonna end til probably 6:30. Start the tourney at 7:00 and run the same satties and you'll 100% get the 4 minimum to start it up and then people will late reg and win satties as late reg goes on to cover the guarantee.
08-30-2016 , 06:04 PM
thursday thrill gonna be an issue too....6pm is just too early for a tourney with this buyin. borgata runs their 500 at 8pm and needs 5 to start and it doens't always start. that one has 15k guarantee and regualrly gets 30 people...so planning something with a 5k guarantee is just literally never going to run

move it back to 7pm or something, also consider lowering the buyin of one of them.

i'd like to see $250 super tuesday with a $20k guarantee...and a $250 thrill with a $15k guarantee, both will do amazing

ya i mean they're just trying to make the satties must play by ending them after start time...still tilting cause it didn't run tho

Yeah but you can still have all of those satties that make them must play while the tourney is running but if the tourney doesn't start then there isn't really any point in must play satties.

I tried to create a PS Live account tonight for the upcoming series at Resorts but it does not appear that "American" is an option for nationality (nothing under "United States" either). Am I missing it or is that something that just hasn't been updated yet? Figured I'd make it known here before it gets closer to the dates and people are having troubles with it.

cash game question - i thought i remembered stars flipping over the hands once all in a hand were all in. that doesn't seem to be the case an longer. very bad change imo. am i incorrect stating that this changed recently? can it be changed back, please?

It's a player option in settings. If the other player you're playing against has hide hand til SD you won't see until community cards are dealt.

I know a similar question has been asked here before but I don't remember a concrete answer...my friend is coming in from England in early October and is interested in playing on Stars NJ. Is he able to do this? What should he bring to ensure the process of creating an account is quick and easy? He plays professionally so he has an account on ROW Stars. Any help is appreciated!

I'm pretty sure you have to be a US citizen to play on NJ stars. Isn't a social security number a requirement to sign up?

I believe this has been addressed and changed going forward.

Correct, SSN is a must to create a PokerStars NJ account.

Thanks for the responses Dylan. One last question: If you win a seat to a Stars live event such as the $1100, will you be credited T$ for winning an additional seat? I used to never be worried about being compensated for winning multiple seats but Party/Borgata have some messed up ideas about winning multiple seats. Just wanted to make sure winning a 2nd time wouldn't end up costing a lot of equity and wasted time.

I realize that was the first week they were offered, and that could be why they didn't get enough runners, but please consider moving the buy ins on the Thrill and Super Tuesday to 200, 250 or 300 dollars. I'm not saying I'd play every time, but that I'd be much more likely to play at those price points and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
