When searching a player, it brings up the number of tables that a player is currently playing. Click on a table it will open up. Prior to the update if you then press lobby it takes you back to all the tables said player was playing in a snapshot, however now it kicks you out of that function entirely and takes you to the actual lobby. You have to go back in and search again which is a pain and repeat the whole process to observe other tables.
It appears to be a bug - thanks for reporting it. We are investigating.

Also, it's probably been said many times no doubt. Player to player transfers are needed. Obv security is main concern but a 2-3 step authentication process can be be applied surely.
Thanks for your interest in this feature - I have shared it with the team.

Actually, it is still on our roadmap to bring this function to the mobile apps. Unfortunately, it is rather a large chunk of work, so it has been frequently deferred for higher priority tasks that involve fewer resources. The Payments team keeps requesting it though, so it has not fallen off the radar. I'm sorry I can't give you any dates or targets at this time.

Android mobile is always FORCED update.
This week's update ruined the app -- can no longer select exact stakes for cash games instead it is "<$15", "$15-?" etc.

WTF? Are you guys so rake greedy you want 2nl and 5nl recs to "accidentally" play way too high?

ALSO can no longer play anything but holdem or omaha. NO MORE Razz/StudHi/Stud8.

You broke the pokerz. Fix it please -- sometimes I want to play mixed games -- and by that I don't mean PLO/NLHE!

"Stars: we are poker" used to mean something... like variety in games! Please fix...

IF THIS WAS INTENTIONAL (and the new normal going forward ) then you have LOST a table-starting HUD-free rec user.

SUPPORT please respond!

I can still play non-NLHE/PLO games on mobile, there's just a few hoops to get there.

From the first "Cash Games" screen, click the pen edit icon.
Then click 'More'.
Then click 'View all games'.
Then click 'Game Type'.

I can then choose from 12 different games.

My iPhone just force updated the app and it is so so terrible, for one thing pko tournaments no longer appear at all, secondly if you search in sit n gos it shows results as tournaments both past
And future, all the toggling and filters are way way worse and I found myself unable to even use the app and gave up and logged out,

Please please fix this and revert all changes ASAP

Yes but still NOPE.

I went thru every combo of clicks and menu choices. What you suggested reveals the HORSE or 8-game mix tables (without the list showing the type until you open the table) -- the former are perpetually empty and the latter CANNOT OPEN in mobile because Draw Games are not supported.

But no stand alone stud or razz games -- unless I am expected to click open each table one by one just to see its type? Ridiculous, why make the list of tables now all mysterious?? TYPE OF GAME is like getting a chest, hope you run good? Imagine if tourney list did same thing -- TERRIBLE change, ui testing does not exist at Stars HQ apparently. Unless they only want folks to play PLO and Holdem nothing else.

I might be missing something but I can open (and presumably play) Razz and Stud:

Is that iPhone?

Because your screenshots look similar to what has been there FOREVER in Android... until this new update completely removed that kind of clear granular choice in what game you want to see a list of tables for.

A true WTF moment when I first launched. That in combination with the CASH GAMES stakes now being just like tourney/sng (aka a "range" of buyins rather than letting you choose specific single stake) = I have uninstalled for now it's that motivation-killing. Strange I may be but I like to choose the game I want to play without seeing 4 other buyin levels at the same time Stars...

PS: I forgot to mention, there was also a checkbox something like [x] Show only standard games ... never seen that before in my life. It's like they had some possible beta version accidentally released or something maybe.

We'll see what support says in the other Stars threads. Really hoping it was an oopsie not a preview of a dystopian future.

Stud and Razz are so much less overflowing with stats-exploiting 20-tabling super nits... still actual action being given, not to mention some realy bad players. Sad that fullring $0.10/0.20 Razz is way looser action than 6max $0.01/0.02 NLHE.

Considering the forced update for mobile players completely removed the ability to choose to sit in any Limit cash games (Razz, Stud, even LHE) yeah it does seem they want people to only play certain games they (Amaya) prefer... f** what the players might actually want.

PokerStars: We Were Poker

...because 4 weeks and NOTHING from Stars it was clearly NOT an oopsie. But it WAS a MISTAKE! #Done #BuhBye

13Apr2018: another forced upgrade on my Android cell...

And "There was a problem parsing the package"

So I can't install, but was forced to. I even uninstalled and tried again, same 80.1MB .apk file failed to launch.

Anyone else having same problem?

Same ''parsing the package" error today, any fix for a 4.2.2 Galaxy Tab?

Since the last update, the Android app works on 4.4.2 +. Anything below this version is useless!

Stars sent us Android folks an email YESTERDAY officially acknowledging the 4.4+ requirement.

Yesterday.

A month after the forced update broke the app for some of its users.

Quality customer service.

Meanwhile, Party Poker let me play 4 tables of SnGs and micro MTTs while I relaxed on my bed. I had fun donating.

So ironic considering the 2+2 name I picked a half decade ago.
