I had a similar complaint previously about PS not responding with regards to Australia - they did answer earlier in this thread that they weren't able to give the specific times due to legal / competitive reasons. I forget their specific response however although it was pretty vague it was reasonable.

Come on PokerStars, at least post which countries it's available in. Also, when it first launched, the PSmobile site had a field where you could enter your mobile number. I did this and never heard anything again even after the (long delayed) launch in Australia.

Overall I don't think PS has handled the launch of the mobile offering as well as it could have - regs on 2+2 have been frustrated and I can only assume recreational players have been confused by it.

To reiterate something I wrote earlier in this thread: We are rolling-out the mobile poker products in multiple stages, with the intent to have them available in as many places as possible - in time. That includes Canada, and other countries where they are not yet available.

We don't always know what the timeline will be, and even if we did, there are often compelling marketing, regulatory, technical and/or competitive reasons not to divulge it here in an open forum where anyone can read it.

I don't want to speculate about what products will be released where, or when. But when I have news, I'll let you know.

In the meantime, we are working on feature improvements (and various bug fixes) that we believe will provide an even better mobile poker experiences for our players. More details on this will follow in the next few months.

Regards,

Jeffrey

The current .eu version is so bug-ridden that it is almost unplayable. Previous version was pretty much flawless.
Playing on Sony Xperia S.

What client version are you using? 1.5? Check under 'More' on bottom navigation pane. Please email support@pokerstars.com with some details.

Gah. Thanks, i guess, for answering, but this is incredibly vague. I just can't see any reason why you can't say "look we are hoping to have it by x number months/years, but no promises". Just give us ANYTHING. Heck, you can even tell us what type of problems exist opposed to just giving a theoretical list. If there is a regulatory problem, you don't have to go into the details, but tell us there is regulatory problem and so on.

Just a suggestion for the future and a basic rule of marketing: you don't start advertising for a product UNTIL it is actually on the shelf. If you break this rule you are going to pissoff/confuse a lot of customers as you have in this case.

...and in extension to aim's comment... why do you stop advertising when it is???

You've said that before but haven't announced the launch in any countries ITT IIRC. We rely on people to tell us it's up and running in their country and despite numerous requests there's still no definitive list of where it works.

Re: Pokerstars Launches Mobile Version

The below promotion is pretty tilting when you're located in Canada

Quote:
Win one of 100 iPad 3s and a share of $100,000!

The PokerStars Mobile poker app is available to download now, and we are giving you a great reason to try it out. In addition to all the regular benefits you get from the VIP Club, we are also offering you entry to a special freeroll tournament when you earn just 100 VIP Player Points (VPPs) by playing on the mobile software. The freeroll includes a $100,000 prize pool, plus the top 100 finishers will win an iPad 3 with a limited edition PokerStars case*!

See the Get Mobile This Summer page for ideas about the best ways to earn VPPs on the Mobile client, and win big at the same time.

How to get your VIP Club Mobile Freeroll ticket

You earn VPPs every time you pay rake in a real money ring game, or pay an entry free in a real money tournament. Simply earn 100 or more VPPs by playing on the Mobile poker app, between July 9-August 15.

We’ll be helping you keep track of how many VPPs you have earned on the mobile software with email updates on July 25 and August 10, so keep a look out.

The freeroll itself takes place at 13:00 ET on August 19. The $100,000 prize pool will be awarded according to PokerStars regular payout structure, with the top 20% getting paid. All players finishing in the top 100 will win an iPad 3, on top of their cash prize.
