Re: Is PokerStars down / lagging?

I have been able to multitable SNGs fine for the past hour.
Looks okay but I am really getting tired of this nonsense.

Too bad there's no other sites with good traffic for SNGs.

Other sites seem to have around 10k players online while stars has 200k.
Is Full Tilt ever coming back? I mean c'mon...

Yeah it's really stupid when things like this happen, but you look so stupid saying " Is Full Tilt coming back?".Seriously? You want the company that stole millions of dollars from the poker community to come back so you can give them business? You know how many people had to move in with their parents, lost their job, their way of life because a huge percentage of their money was on FTP?

Competition is good, but you are moronic idiot wanting to rush back to FTP because Stars went down for an hour when FTP has been down for over a year. Get a grip.

Are the insults really necessary?
Obviously if Full Tilt does come back I would expect it to be under new management.

You see how long this thread is? We're not talking about a single incident here. My games have been cancelled more than once this year and some smaller lag issues occur quite often actually.
It's no big deal if you have one or two tables up but when you have a lot of tables open, any lag can be annoying.

I am not saying that I would completely stop playing on stars because of this but it would be nice to have an alternative site to play on when they are doing their monthly server restart or there are the almost monthly cancellations and server issues.

You're making it sound like he said "Bring FTP with Lederer/Ferguson etc in charge". You do realise that FTP(2) will be owned by other people right? And that they are repaying the funds back and that FTP(2) will be under so much scrutiny it will be squeaky clean? Why would someone not rush back there?

Seems you missed some serious facts! New Ownership; New Staff; Public pressure to repay;

Well a complete new company. Where have you been the last year?

Re: Is PokerStars down / lagging?

How come is this even possible? Can anyone here explain, why there is no consistency in dealing with software issues. OK, it's a program, I got that. There will be sofware issues. But can you (POKERSTARS) please at leaste handle those issues the same every time they occur? I am just wondering what will happen with running tourneys next time software crashes... Any idea guys?

Because what happened yesterday..., c'mon pokerstars. I was multitabling turbo SnGs, software crashed and after 50minutes of nothing but blinds increasing tourneys were resumed. Any regular player or even a pure fishey can tell this is hell for this type of trneys. So, comparing to roll forwarding it is just x-times worse, despite the fact that circumstances change for everyone being still involved in the game.
Is there any reasonable explanation?

Re: Is PokerStars down / lagging?

I'm still waiting on mine and i'm not sure what they are going to do because of the fact that they didn't cancel the sngs. I have no clue why they didnt cancel them and do equity payouts based on chips. They created a nightmare situation for themselves by letting the sngs continue.
