I'm a portuguese poker player that i had to move some times in last year and a half, because of close market in Portugal first and Czech Republic then. This year, i moved to Holland, where i arrived one week ago. When i arrived, i sent to PokerStars the AirBnb receipt of my apartment rent for 3 weeks. The support told me they cant accept that.

In Holland, to do any type of contract i have to have a fiscal number, so i went to the City Hall to get a BSN number, a fiscal number to the foregein people that will live in the country. So i went to there and i get this BSN number and then created a bank account. With this, i finally can rent a house for more time. I sent the document of my bank account and the document with my BSN number to PokerStars. They didnt accept that documents and started a investigation that lasted for two hours. Then, they blocked my account and said that i have 48 hours to withdraw all my money. So, in two days i'll have my account closed, when i sent three documents and the result was that i was accused of fraudulent behaviour.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine. He moved to Rotterdam, did the same process, he had his account updated for 1 hour and, then, he was warned that his account would be banned with irreversible effects. When we asked for explanations about the allegations of fraudulent behaviour, we didnt get any answer. I gave the adress and the phone number of the bank where i created the account, if they want confirm all the story.

I play on PokerStars for 9 years and became a professional poker player. In 9 years, i never had a single problem with PokerStars and they dont have any single reason to have problems with me. They now accuse his players without any proof, it's simply impossible to have anything against me and i can proof every single word that i say with flight and rent receipts, a BSN number that is impossible to create in any other place, bank account documents. If they want, i can take photos with the daily city journal. But, i dont know why, they decided in 2 hours to ban a clean account.

Right now, i have my 9 years carreer in poker in risk. That's not the PokerStars that i used to know.

OP is a 6yo account, mainly posted until 2015. about Stars mid-higher MTTs. Lot critiquing Stars for big MTT series going down...

Scenario 1:
OP got caught trying to VPN RouletteStars.com from PT

Scenario 2:
EcologyStars starting -open banning globally less known regs profitable enough to relocate to keep silently printing $$ on .com .

Both are becoming plausible and OP claiming he was advised to cash out and 'be happy to keep the roll' -After, banned for 'fraud suspect', makes me actually lean towards Scenario 2...

They can refuse to do business with anyone they want to, as long as it's not for reasons of discrimination based on race, gender, etc.

Well, i posted here this situation because i believe it's a absurd situation that i want to not happen to anyone...and ofc, maybe if someone could help with something.

As i said, i never did one simply thing wrong. When i criticize, i'm offering new ideas to PokerStars, and yeah, i believe there is a lot of good things that can be used. And no, i never used VPN, NEVER. They never accused me about that, i think they think that i falsified the bank document for any reason that i dont know. I have two more friends that created bank account in the SNS Bank and Stars didnt accept anyone. But they dont said what was wrong, they only accused of fraudulent behaviour and that's it.

And well, guys, i know that PokerStars can close any account if they want... but if you like to play poker, imagine if it happens to you. As i said, i can proof easily every single thing in this situation. Put yourself in my situation, do you really think it's good to let me withdraw the money?

Pokerstars is a ****ty ****ed up site with ****ty so called security specialists that ban people without having proof. Only thing you have left to do, if you are in fact innocent of what they accuse you of (which, I my case, I was never even told), is to get some manager or 2+2 rep to look into your case to bypass the lower level idiots that just randomly decide on the fate of peoples' carreers. And then still you might be permabanned without any proof or any information as to why they decided to ban you.

Ty sir, it's a great place to live...the only problem is the cold but i'm getting used to it, Prague was a good training.

Right now, i'm waiting for a answer for one day. I already sent to them a document signed and stamped by the bank. I'm sad because i'm losting TCOOP but, mainly, because i cant trust anymore on PokerStars. Even if they re-open my account, at any moment they can do the same, without proofs. And it's really bad for someone that have to left his country to can play poker.

Maybe it is an option to just close the account and just open an new one the next day with different email and such ?

After one week sending documents, being accused of fraudelent behaviour, Stars opened my account again. Without excuses...but well, that's not the most important thing. I think it could be a warning to PokerStars, it's not cool to accuse his players without any proof.

Congrates! That's very good news I didn't think I'd read in this thread. Hope you keep a low balance on stars and just cashout/deposit often to minimize the risk.
