Today I got this email from Pokerstars security:

Hello David,

Due to your close association with barred PokerStars account 'makeranyu' we have concluded that it is not in the best interest of our players to allow you to continue to play on PokerStars or Full Tilt platforms under all various licenses. We cannot take the risk that 'makeranyu' could gain access to our tables via your account. It is unfortunate that you have become yet another victim of unfair action by them.

Your PokerStars account 'danfiu' and Full Tilt account 'danfiu89' remain open without playing privileges to give you an opportunity to cash out your remaining balances and to spend any rewards points in our VIP or Full Tilt Store. If either balance is too small to cash out, you may transfer the balance to another player whose account is in good standing. Your accounts will be closed as soon as you have cashed out, or early next week at the latest. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please understand that this decision has been made in the interest of protecting the integrity of our games. Do not attempt to play on PokerStars or Full Tilt platforms. Any account we find you to be using, whether it belongs to yourself or a friend, will be closed and all funds within will be confiscated.

I am like WTF?????????????????

Makeranyu is my friend who plays plo50 and I gave him my old laptop couple of months ago, because his was stolen and he is playing under his own account and I have never played a single hand vs him or at the same table or anything. We dont actually play same stakes....

Although you do seem to play bigger than 95% of people that are in your same position that post here. IMO reply calmly with a detailed response of what stakes you play and why it would be not in your best interest to allow someone else to use your account. Your mate who you you gave your old computer to (usually a pretty big red flag), must have pissed stars off no end for you to get caught up in it. Also ask your mate why he is banned from stars/ftp

No, he plays plo50 for his main game I think, will ask him.

Maybe they just made up another reason to ban you because of seat-scripting

wow that's mental. seems super over cautious. especially since you don't even play close to the same stakes. maybe if you showed up at plo100 this week it would look suspicious but if you've just been playing your regular game i don't get it.

So he got banned, and he has a history of logging in from the exact same computer that you've logged in from. You can sort of see their reasoning here.

I got temp banned a month ago for a week (semijustified) but wanted to explain to them what was happening and wanted them to provide numbers. I wrote 3 emails to security, std support and vip club. I have over 5 million vpps - not a single one got answered until this day. I didnt even wanted to get the ban lifted, i was just trying to explain what happend and wanted to have their opinion.

Well, wat im trying to say is that their decision will moast likely be final so i wouldnt get my hopes up if u were u...

I mean the reasoning is a joke, so if you don't hide smth from us(why should you at this moment), for me it just looks like a cheap excuse to get you banned for whatever reason!

What did your friend actually did to them?

I'm very grateful that Poker Stars, Bovada, etc. take the time and use the man hours, etc. to rid the on-line sites of all these cheating scumbags, and are not only interested in collecting rake.

i dont understand their rationale for banning you. sucks man. could you explain more of the relationship between you and 'makeranyu'? what was he banned for? did you set your old laptop to factory settings before giving it your friend? Like AlexKp said, there has to be more to the story than whats been told so far
