Nope, $1.50 cash hyper is 10 cents rake, as I put in the table above. So this game is 78.87%.

I don't have anything to add, but nice catch, and shame on Stars for exaggerating the truth. They've decided for whatever reason that they are going to kill these games for regs and just rake the fish to death. Not much we can do but complain about it at this point. It will be interesting to see what kind of traffic they get and which regs even try to play these next year.

I think the change will also drive out some regfish, making the games a little bit harder to compensate for the increase of spanking. I'm going to wait and see how it turns out.

btw they clearly did mistake in that table with buyins, for example there isnt 3.50 sat but 3.75 to 11$ tourneys

so how its gonna look? you have to have 22$ prize pool = 3.67 per player. S0 the new buyin gonna be like 3,80? 3.82?

They only pulled these because they knew i was targetting them its the same reason why they went back on putting out another tourney.

Will be interesting to see the direction stars move in now that I have left there site.

I guess they did that table so that they could compare it easily to 25bb? Or maybe to hide the true rake changes for sats until the actual day, I'm not sure. It wasn't transparent either way.

You can estimate the new rake % for your tournament by using the two 25bb games either side of it, then weighting each figure, with the respective differences. I've not done lower stakes myself though.

Nothing is done by accident.
I don't remember any non transparent change like this for the history of announcements.
I don't think they are too lazy to calculate the change of rake separately for satellites.
The hiding that info has obvious reasons.

If you post your results it might be easier to generate sympathy from other players. The problem is you have guys like Jorj95 who are making absurd amounts playing these things, and that's all people see.

OP math are wrong, doubling the rake is a 100% increase, 172% increase would be almost tripling the rake

It's stated as % of old rake and not % increase over old rake.

172% of something is 1.72 times that something.

Fair question, it's easy to overestimate Jorj95's ROI due to the FPP sats that show as freerolls on Sharkscope, he also plays the highest buyins available. I don't think he will mind me showing these pre-rb numbers below:

In 2014 his average ROI was 0.3%. The rake changes are less severe at highest stakes and his average buyin was $397, the rake will rise to roughly 128% of the old rake at these stakes.
Before his $397 would be:
$389.06 + $7.94
After the changes this would be:
$389.06 + $10.16
His ROI would decrease by 0.56% due to the rake change. Therefore his new ROI would be -0.26%.

It's safe to say that Jorj is probably the least effected person in the whole of the 6m hyper-sat system.

For comparison if we take a $3.75 grinder:
Before his $3.75 would be:
$3.68 + $0.07
After the changes this would be:
$3.68 + $0.16
This constitutes an ROI drop of 2.32%.

SupernovaElites may be able to become profitable with rakeback, but the vast majority of grinders won't be able to overcome the rake.

Rake is still the same in the $74, right? Did I miss something? They changed their mind?

I doubt it the new admin on starts seem robustly committed to never admitting there wrong on anything and never changing there mind on anything, unless changing there mind on that thing is something people wouldn't like in which case they might.

I would be surprised if stars staff could come here and comment and say the rake change wont happen now etc. however they will not do this. rake appears to not have changed yet but i am sure it will.
