Switching Sites

Hey guys, I currently play the turbos on stars: $3.40 and $6.50 anywhere from 4 -16 tables. I want to switch to a new site hoping that there will be more fish and consequently more profitable games. I have never really explored past stars or tilt. Any suggestions and why? Thanks

Re: Site Suggestions

Here's an excel sheet I've been making for myself:

It doesn't contain sites with VIP programs and lacks a few decent networks. Note that Boss gives rakeback only if you rake at least 100€ a month. "Fishyness" is based on my own experience on the sites/networks, though I haven't played on Cereus a lot.

You mean you are looking for a site where your play will not suck?

What's UltimateBet like?

Does anybody here play on UltimateBet? I'm moving from fulltilt because i can't get rakeback since i didn't sign up for it and i can't create a new account. So I was looking at UlitmateBet and a couple of other sites today. Any suggestions as to which would be a good alternative to fulltilt and pokerstars? Which site has the most fish, best software etc? Also does every site allow you to datemine and what is multitabling like at UltimateBet?

pp or ps????

i am currently choosing between playing on pp or ps, i will be playing micro stakes and mtt's. I am currently wayed more to pokerstars as the rake is not as much and the mtt's are obviously much better, however since downloading party poker and watching some micro stakes games they seem a lot fishier than pokerstars. Any opinions on what the easiest site to beat is aswell as any other reccomendations?

You didn't mention if you are from US or not? If you are, then Cake and UB (Cereus network) would be sensible choices. Cake has softer games, but doesn't support PT3 or HEM if you're using those (there is a free tracker though). Software is playable on both (still doesn't compare to FTP or Stars). Datamining is rarely allowed anywhere, you do it at your own risk. Multitabling works on both.

If you are from EU, then I would suggest iPoker network. Games are very soft, lot's of shortstackers though, but they are bad. It's the 3rd largest network online, supports PT3/HEM, has decent software (modable) and cashback.

If your cash play is below NL25, then I would go with Stars. It's a good place to begin your career, lot's of tourneys obviously too. If you move up to NL25, then I would switch to FTP for rakeback.

And personally I wouldn't touch Party with a stick.

I'm not in the US but I think I'll be going with UlitmateBet unless FullTilt give me rakeback

Re: Site Suggestions

I will actually come out and admit that I owe Poker stars money from echecks. I made echeck deposits and would cash out to my epassporte account(timeframe was when echecks first appeared on stars) obviously there were problems with the echecks. I had 21 days of deposites clear my bank account in one day! Supposed to be 10 business days.... I never came public about this problem b/c I was'nt familiar with 2+2 and I seriously undermined the integrity of online poker.Which was a horrible error in my judgement. Every deposit that put my account negative costed me 60 extra dollars in over draft fee's. The negative bal. isn't astronomical but I was so upset with the situation that I just chalked it up and moved on. It also effected my echecks on FTP...150 dollars I deposited there obviously wasn't honored by my bank, when they rightfully tried to withdraw their money. So I was left with a balance to FTP as well.
So the point is it's possible to owe sites money with out cheating or malicious activity.

Re: Site Suggestions

With that being said...I am from the US and can tell you I've tried every site. Poker stars is by far the best for tourny's which I dearly miss. Fulltilt would be the second choice, it just seems to fit maniac style play over solid poker. Unfortunatly if your in the US, player traffic is the biggest factor. Bodog has no traffic, Carbon has no traffic...I hate to say it but AP/UB has the most player traffic...if your not worried about traffic and your a US player you can pick any of sites that are left to play on and i'm pretty sure you'll have the same overall result...
