I've been looking @ Absolute Poker. I'm aware they're the same as UB, and the cheating scandal. Because of that, I think their new player promotions are top notch.

150% match bonus on deposits up to $500 (I would deposit the full amount and more), and 30% rakeback.

Any other suggestions? I'd love to goto Stars, but they're rewards program isn't good for lower stakes players.

I just recently started playing at AP. I wanted a break from cake/ftp and I have to say, the players at absolute are better than both cake/ftp.

It appears that the deep tables (all tables or so it appears) at absolute are 200bbs and the play is different than at other sites.

I would guess that ftp w/o rake = more money than rakeback/bonuses @ absolute poker.

ps. they were caught allowing massive high stakes cheating..for w/e that is worth.

Im not sure if you can use a HUD or not, but the play at True Poker reminds me of Party Poker back in '01-'02, and I get 27% rakeback.

You definitely don't wantto move all of your play there atm due to a lack of traffic, but any time tehre is a micro game running it is beatable.

Check out William Hill - new to the iPoker network.

Large volume (probably biggest outside Stars/FTP) and juicy games.

Also they have loads of good promotions going on for new players. Most of them you don't get automatically and have to troll around their site a little bit (and then email them) - like the "one time bonus" for new players. Basically, they hope that the less number of people find them the better, but if you do your trolling you can get good value. Also 30% rakeback from lots of different affiliates.

Other then that, there's good RB on Everest (and a new VIP programme but not sure how good that is) and Cake. Check out as many iPoker skins as you can also, I like them alot and I think they're second best only to Stars and FTP.

I just switched over from stars to AP 2 days ago in order to get rakeback and so far I am still adjusting to the site as it does play differently so here are my observations. I am playing $.25nl and as a whole at the micros I think people play worse on AP then stars and there are more aggro spew tards that will not fold a hand. Its great when you actually have a hand but getting folds to standard cbets happen less often.

For some reason my holdem manager hud doesn't automatically launch at the tables I am playing at. I have to go in through table manager and manually connect the hud to the tables. I never had that issue on full tilt or stars so I am not sure if its something I can fix or If its because of the AP software.

The software really sucks compared to stars and full tilt. For example if you want to bet anything less then $1 you cant type the amount in the bet amount box. You have to use the slider which bounces all over the place or you have to use the bet pot or 1/2 pot button.

If you are at the turbo tables you only have like 5 seconds to act and there is no option to request additional time so you have to act really fast. I find it very difficult to even sit at 4 turbo tables at a time without getting multiple time outs. Once I raised utg with pocket Aces on table 1 and had to go to another table to make a decision. By the time I could finish my decision and get back to the table 1 with my Aces some aggro spew tard had 3 bet my Aces but I timed out before I could 4 bet!

The $500 sign up bonus is really hard to clear at the micro limits. In 2 days at .25nl 6max I have played 3k hands and have only cleared $5!

At .50nl and above just about every table is a bad beat jackpot table so at those limits you are paying a lot more commission to fund a jackpot that you will never win.

Overall I think the site is average at best. For a site that offers rakeback and allows you to use a tracking program I think Full Tilt is about as good as it gets. With AP you get 30% rakeback and full tilt is 27% but Full-tilts is dealt and AP is contributed so it probably evens out. Also at .50nl and above its even better at tilt because there are non bad beat jackpot tables. At AP its just about all bad beat tables.

I am probably just going to grind out as much bonus as I can and then switch back over to a full tilt rakeback account.

I have been trolling these forums for awhile now, gleaning as much knowledge that I can, and have finally decided to get a login and begin posting. Hopefully as I gain more knowledge about the game I will be able to add some value.

The dilemna I am in is similiar to a lot of others. I got a FTP account before knowing anything about rakeback, and am now looking at other potential sites open to US players. Currently I play 10 or 25NL on a $350 bankroll (up from $100 in a month and a half). My intent is to reach 50NL by the end of the year, and I do not think it will be possible to reach a necessary bankroll for that without rakeback, which leads me to pursue other sites Furthermore, the site has to be able to support HEM.

Here is the research that I have done through mainly bonuswhores.com, as well as a few other sites:

X Pokerstars - No rakeback, HEM supported
X Fultilt - No rakeback to existing customers, HEM supported
Cereus Network - 30% rakeback, HEM supported
X Cake Poker - 33% rakeback, HEM NOT supported
X Bodog Poker - No rakeback, HEM supported
? Merge Poker Network - 30% rakeback, Could not find a definitive answer on HEM support
X True Poker - No rakeback

Unless there are any other sites out there that I missed, there are very limited options that fit the criteria. 90% of the information on the forum about Cereus is negative, which makes me skeptical of placing any money there. On the flip side, the competition seems to be lighter. Just comparing the VPIP in microstakes from Tilt to Cereus validates that.

So, am I missing anything or are my options really that limited? In my position what would you recommend doing? Thanks.

PokerStars pays an equivalent to rakeback through the VIP Program.

I currently owe money to Pokerstars and Fulltilt and really don't feel like or have the money to pay them back quite yet. Im looking for a new site to deposit a couple hundred bucks on to grind cash games, SNGS and the occasional MTT.

How did you get a negative balance on your PS and FTP accounts? It sounds sketchy. Therefore I would suggest that you register to a sketchy site which in the end might end up owing you money. So try stryyke or ultimate bet. Good luck

I normally play 100NL and am unsure of exactly how many hands I play (~10,000/mo?). I am the highest VIP level on Titan Poker (Titanium) if this means anything regarding rake, etc.

Seeing as theoretically I can sign up anywhere (not in the US but in the UK), does anyone have any recomendations? I've already made the error of signing up to Full Tilt/Ultimate Bet without rakeback/kickback, etc. so these are the only two that I can't join.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

I have not depositied money online in sometime. The three sites I am playing on would be FTP PS or PokerNordica. Anyone recommend one of the three for a deposit to play both cash and SNG and MTT.

How would you rank the three as to soft players for cash and mtt?

stars is best by far for any sort of mtt or stt.

ftp has more varieties of cash games, and more action if you ever play high stakes.

stars has better rakeback provided you are not an old man who plays only one table at a time.

Stars has no rb, period.

The thing I like most about fixed rakeback%, is that it doesn't punish me from taking breaks.
