Are there any plans for a downloadable software client?

You plan to charge outrageous rake at some of the your tables. I hope the site is a flop.

I'd like an answer to this. After bf I think players should demand to know who we are ultimately trusting our money/personal info with. I'm not suggesting anything nefarious but for peace of mind before I make a deposit I'd like to know who the owners are.

Could you please tell us how this means anything when the LGA has done nothing about 2 scandals happening to their 'regulated' rooms? Most recently Bluffgaming that stole 500k euros and prior to that a huge one with a microgaming skin that stole even more?

Well I decided to try out their room. While logged in, a freeroll started -- the table opens and I'm automatically sitting out. I tried to unclick "autopost" but it doesn't work. So I close the browser and attempt to log in and get the error message "Your session was not properly finished. Please wait for 3 mins to try again." Still can't get in after 3m ins.

Would totally piss me off if I paid a buy-in.

So you are licensed in the Philippines, but the servers are located in Taiwan? How are regulators able to perform their audits then?

Also, how does the fact that servers are located in Taiwan restrict you from serving Taiwan players?

The Asian gaming market is different from the Western market hence a different pricing model. Mixed tables are a compromised between both models. We did not want to split the traffic and separate pools of players and the reason for mixed tables is to allow everyone to play together. We also offer regular rake “P” tables because we think this is important to offer competitive structure for rest of the world (.com) players.

26. Team Pros are mostly tournament pros yet the site offers no guaranteed MTTs?
The site just launched. Guarantees will come very soon, in the next coming weeks. Tournament series too. We want to keep building further the traffic through partners and a few marketing campaigns.

Yes but not in a near future.

The Asian Poker Tour is a partner. They are an ambassador for the game in Asia and we regularly sponsor some of the events. We will certainly run satellites for many other APTs in the future.

PokerAce is not regulated by LGA. We are regulated and licensed by the First Cagayan Corporation, which is the licensor for the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) in the Republic of Philippines. First Cagayan is the principal licensor for sites operating in Asia. As mentioned in an earlier post we do not mix the categories of funds. Operational funds, network funds and player balances are hold in different accounts.

32. You servers are base in Taiwan but you are licensed in the Philippines. How does the regulators audit and control you?
We maintain our primary servers in the Philippines under CEZA licensing and all our regulatory filing and Regulators access to reporting servers is there. We have redundancy and certain rebroadcasting servers in Taiwan to speed up network connectivity as Taiwan is very well placed for such activities. Ongoing software development is also provided by our software vendor from Taiwan. We report to the regulator on 3 main aspects: financial performance of the network (as we are taxed in the Philippines), player statistics and game play reporting (we are required to provide certain KPI's on an ongoing basis) and technical reports (sever related matters, deployment, code upgrades). We are also audited by external auditors and these reports have to also be made available to the Regulators. In the event that we were to breach the conditions of our License, or the Regulators found something that they were unhappy with, they would simply terminate our License and we would be forced to shut down. All gaming operators with a CEZA license have to maintain their game servers in one of a limited number of data centers in the Philippines in what are referred to as economic zone buildings and the Regulators have the power to close any servers in such a data center.

Hi John, the browser issue is still not fixed. Just happened a few mins ago. Hope you guys get this fixed before your MTT GTDs start rolling.

This hasn't been fixed. The window froze for me using chrome. I then closed the browser, cleared the cache and attempted to log back in, didn't work. I then tried on firefox and internet explorer, both browers having the same error. Took 3+ hours until I was able to log back in.

This is a little since we posted and we have been fairly busy working on a number of projects and improvements over the past weeks. This post is to tell you about those and also answer the questions that were last posted in this thread.

PRODUCT UPDATE

A product update has been released today September 20th between 10am and 12pm GMT+8. This release includes 3 new software features:

• New PokerAce Cashier: A complete new web-based Cashier, handier and that offers more options to the player including the Player to Player Transfer and the Players Tickets Balance.

• Tournament Tickets: Players will now be able to use a ticket to register to a tournament or Sit’n’Go. This new feature will naturally bring PokerAce to another level in term of tournament and satellites offering in a very near future.

• Multitabling Settings: So far, the number of tables that a player could open simultaneously was capped to 4. It is now unlimited for all tournament games and capped to 4 for cash-games tables.

POKERACE ONLINE SERIES

PokerAce will run a first tournament series from December 3rd to December 9th.
The series is composed of 27 events with events at all stakes and an overall series guarantee UP TO* $150,000. Satellite will commence on September 29th. Multiple promotions around the Series will take place on PokerAce in the next 2 months.

*‘UP TO’ means that a guarantee applies to the event under specific conditions.
Basically, the guarantee would apply to the tournament if there is a minimum of entrants registered to the tournament on the starting time:

• If this number of entrants is not reached, the tournament would run normally without being guaranteed.

• If the number of entrants required is reached, the guarantee will apply to the tournament, even if it involves an overlay.

Further information about this first PokerAce Online Series will be given next week when the promotion will be live on the PokerAce site.

For each $1 raked, the player gets 10 PokerAce Player Points. This information can be found on the AceClub PokerAce Points page. We will add this detail in the FAQ very soon.
