the sites will have to port their mac clients to Cocoa Touch in order for it to work, so probably not.

its running the iphone OS so unless you see poker clients for iPhone you probably won't see them for the iPad.

And you're gonna have to pay 30$ a month for anywhere data anyways so you might as well buy a laptop with a USB data card :P

one workaround I suppose would to get a VNC type client for your iPad and run the poker software on a home computer and play that way, but that's so much of a hassle I don't see it working very well.

You're best off waiting for a different tablet device running a full OS or someone to hack the iPad before you go buy one...

also you have to get your app approved by apple, I don't know if any real money gaming has been approved at this point.

Yep. This is one of the reasons why we don't see FTP or PS or any other mainstream real-money poker clients on the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Stars or tilt should make a app for jailbroken iPhones

That's right... I think this is the biggest problem. Apple won't allow real money gaming in their precious app store.

i use vnc to play on my iphone it works but no sound I imagine this would work the same

u can use an app to control your home computer from your iphone and play any poker site on the iphone. I dont see why you couldnt do it on the ipad.

Of course it's not... it's made by apple and afaik apple doesn't have a piece of internet poker. That which apple can't get it's 30% on you cannot do.

There will be a number of similar devices dropping this year running Windows 7 which ought to allow fulfillment of everyone's get in a few hands on the crapper dreams

You cant listen to music and type a word document at the same time on an iPad.

I'd wait for a tablet with either windows 7 or a full version of OSX on it before you all poop your pants.
