I'm noticing that my speed of play is definitely faster with the monitors arranged in Portrait mode so just want to say thanks again to Josem for the idea.

1st setup is def. one of the worst ever, 2nd might be pretty good

what stakes do you play?

Worst ever? lol ok. I won't even dignify that with a response as I made tons of money with the monitors set up that way so clearly it couldn't be that bad.

200 and 400NL

nice setup!

You obv play just for rb+perks since you paid more in rake then you've won over 2mill hands?

On the high side 43k in rb isn't bad but for 2mill hands? They count that rb on the high side too so I'm wondering what your hourly is on a setup like this, compared to the roll it takes to almost break even....?

You have quite the energy and dedication Ill give you that. I can't believe you still can see or even function let alone not have committed a homicide or suicide thorough those 2 mill hands. LOL unfukinreal man lol

I cant even imagine the levels of burnout long term hardcore rb multi-tabler's go through.

I fail to see how being one of the top winners at 1/2 FR constitutes playing only for RB?

Also how is being up 125k in 2million hands at the tables anywhere near breaking even?? Someone has no clue imo.

+1

rotating monitors to portrait is hugely underrated... I work in an office and am the only guy to put my monitors like that.

Portrait: work and reading internet pages
Landscape: computer games and media/movies

Hmmm, I wonder if setting my one 24" to portrait would be a good idea. My eyes get tired going back and fourth even with just this one monitor. It definitely would rock for reading websites at worst.

The benefit of rotating to portrait is slightly exaggerated for a 30" monitor because doing so allows you to fit 8 tables without resizing (as opposed to 6 on landscape)

With a 24" monitor, you fit 4 tables in the monitor in landscape, with space for your taskbar on either side.

damn I need to get rid of my 22" and get a 30" nice set up though

That much depends on the monitor resolution. My 24" at 1920x1080 fits 6 in landscape with no problem.

yep: but you'll have to resize them down slightly from the default resolution of 800x600 to fit 6 in landscape on 1920x1080.

I really like this thread...
After playing semi-pro for 3-4 years and 'pro' for over a year, I would say that the physical setup of your monitors/tables is almost as important as br management and your game itself.
Props to you guys who can tile that may tables. Pics are cool, I can't do it myself/don't want to try really.
When I tile more than 9, I find I'm spending so much time moving my eyes back and forth that I can't take advantage of the benefits of tiling. On the other hand though, I can play 16+ tables of 6 max fine with stacking, and I just drag the tables I have action on out from the stack w/ hotkeys if I want to keep an eye on whats happening.

I find it hard to believe someone actually prefers the 800x600 size. So unnecessary.

I think taking lots of breaks is really important when you put a ton of volume in so I've never used a piss cup. Even if just for 5 minutes or so getting away from the screen really helps and gives me a seemingly fresh start when I return

wow, 2nd setup >>>>>> 1st IMO. That is tits, I wanna do 3 30s portrait now. Currently ive got 2 20s and a 30, with the 30 landscape and the 20s portrait and was thinking about doing 3 30s landscape....never even thought to do portrait with them, thats awersome!

also, lol at people telling OP hes doing it wrong tile vs stack, when he prolly does it better than everyone whos responded in this thread.
