just thought i ought to point out the logic flaw with that statement. i could quite easily fill one out at work and one at home or if a dyamic allocated ip address is used , just turn of your router and wait a period and then turn it on again and the same user will be allocated a new ip address.

having replied i spose i better actually fill one in though.

Hi,

Yes, of course, you're right about this. I think I'll have to take your point into consideration when writing up my methods section...and perhaps for the paper I'm preparing on online data collection methods. This is a very good and very challenging problem for researchers. Thanks for pointing it out, I should have seen it miles away...

Re: PhD project survey - poker related

Done poker & WoW, interesting questions indeed

There was a question in the WoW section which was pretty much impossible for me to answer correctly. I think it was "i do a lot of boring things (such as grinding) just to improve my character". The thing is, you're spoonfeeding that "it's boring" which may well be the general consensus, but there is the odd crazy guy like me who takes enjoyment out of it

Also, quite a lot of personal questions indeed, will probably makes some people realise some things about theirselves which they didn't know before so makes it more interesting

Solid point! I was actually shocked when I read your post because I couldn't believe I had phrased a question like that. Even more so because I'm a grinder myself Turns out I wasn't being entirely stupid though, because the question was:

"I will do boring or very repetitive tasks (such as grinding) if it makes my character more powerful in the end."

So, in this case I think in my defense I'll have to say that I referred to grinding as being very repetitive (which is the very definition of it, no?). I think you're right though that I may have been spoonfeeding unintentionally...that's a very good point that goes right into my limitations and reflections section, thanks!!
