I spoke with Neteller about this at an affiliate conference(-related party) in January. They had no plans of implementing security tokens because they are not necessary. Apparently, the number of hacked neteller accounts each year is a single digit number or something ridiculously low like that.

i obv support this idea, but the thing I dont understand about Neteller's security is that a rogue merchant could easily take your money bc he knows your account number and your secure ID, doesnt he? When you deposit with moneybookers you don't give your account details to the merchants they redirect you to MB's page, however with NETELLER you give ur account details to the merchant and they take your money. This seems very unsafe to me, do I miss something?

OK, but did they explain why it isn't worth protecting those <10 people? I mean, it's just a bit of programming right? How much would it cost?

+1 or some kind of SMS 2 step authorization--this is very easy to implement on their side. Tokens are not so easy.

If you sent them email mention SMS authorization too please.

Already sent an email, I only mentioned mobile phone app and a normal token but I'm sure they are aware of other security methods.
I'll post when i get an answer from them.

Its strange that these virtual wallets dont (or just start to) provide any 2nd level authorizations which are standard for online banking for years.
