LIES! someone help me out here, IM the real caniac45 and i don't know who this guy is. i shipped $348 to chuknorace today on stars for a paypal trade that i did with the AIM screen name stacktrader... let me know what we can do about this

It looks like you were almost the victim in a three-way imposter scam.

I don't need all the details, but an outline would be nice.

Also, please let me know how you were contacted, was it initially by AIM, or was PM used? If PM on another site was used, whinch site and what screen name was used?

Do you have any other contact info for him?

Well, boys and girls, we have a real live drama here.

Here's what happened, from the beginning. I was on the forums earlier, call it 1pm, eastern time, approximately. Just as I was logging off, (to do some family stuff), I had a PM from somebody I didn't know, and this message said 'Hey, I just dropped $348 into your PS account, can you forward it for me to the Epassporte account tommyknocks? Cause you're a really good guy, and I trust you" (more or less. But that's how it sounded.

Well, of course, I hadn't solicited any such trade. And as everybody here knows, I don't do these things in the dark, and I encourage others not to do these things in the dark.

But here's the deal: I had done a trade, on Xmas day, very early, with a guy named DGA3310. I didn't know the name at the time. I forwarded some money to TOMMYKNOCKS on Epassporte. Then later, that day, that week, this guy DGA3310 is accused of scamming here, scamming there, everywhere. I felt like shet.

So now we have an unsolicited drop into my account? With the Epass account tommyknocks? I'm supposed to, without any public request, forward money to tommyknocks on Epassporte? It ain't happening.

I notified PS security.

I also (family. remember family? I had some family stuff to do. But the money wasn't going anywhere.) waited throughout the afternoon, and checked with some other people. The delay was a good thing. Sure enough, what smelled like a scam is, perhaps, turning out to be a scam. The old 'impostor' scam.

ok, well i was looking to cash out using paypal the money i have on stars, i was going to use stacktrader.com because i was referred by the owner of another site... i don't know exactly how the person got my screen name, but someone IMed me from the screen name stacktrader yesterday and today and i went through with the transfer on AIM, im at my girlfriends house right now but i can show you logs of my AIM conversation when i get home tonight. i sent $348 on stars to chuknorace (flint)

and also.... just to verify... i am caniac45 on stars, stakingaces, maketransfer, neverbeg, ajpoker, roundersparadise and i believe that is all... if you need verification for any of those let me know...

ok, im going home right now, currently at my girlfriends, so im going home so that i have access to everything that happened today... get all the AIM logs and all that stuff.. ill be back in about 20 minutes

Does everybody pretty much agree, that I got money from ONE PLACE? Whether or not that fellow was duped, one fellow sent me some money.

I solve the problem by simply sending back the money to the person who actually sent it to me, correct? Any problems with this, that anybody can think of?

I strongly suspect that caniac45 on 2+2 is a scammer.

I strongly suspect that caniac45 on PS is his intended victim.

I suspect that hockeyman on 2+2 is caniac45 on PS.

Once he PM's me on another site with a specific message, I'll recommend returning the full amount to caniac45 on PS.

caniac45 on 2+2 aka dga3310 aka tommyknocks on epassporte, now is the time to speak up.

Bottom Line, Ask Caniac for a Screen Shot.

I know for a fact someone scammed Caniac for that money, he came to us thinking he sent it to us. We do all of our transactions through our WEBSITE ONLY and email.

I am confident Caniac can and will provide a proper screen shot of his sending of the funds. Dont do something stupid like ship cash back to the scammer who sent it to you.

Send it to the guy who was scammed.

I am Josh Woods, the owner of StackTrader.com, I am urging you to fix this problem by allowing a Screen Shot from Caniac to prove that he has sent the cash.

hey josh woods hmm your site is a scam as i recall you where given 150$ on cake yesterday then ip banned the person who gave it to you right. i read all about it.

hockeyman has satisfactorily replied via PM on MakeTransfer.

I believe that he is caniac45 on that site.

I see no reason to delay refunding the full amount to the same account from which was received, caniac45 on PS.

Can we just ban/not allow anyone in this thread who has registered <6 months beside Clamper and abominable... lol

i'd be more than happy to verify on other sites or AIM, i would say i could post the log, but then again... i guess so could he.
