At least with tracking there's a chamce to prove or disprove how much money is pumping into those things and how much money they're paying out. Otherwise it'd be players having to trust stars is on the up and up and we all know how that might turn out

lol'ed at:
It's Dnegs looking out for the players.

So its either stars themselves behind it or they sold the right to some company to mine data. Take your pick but I assure you its one of the two.
how do you not know this is already occuring, google it scientists in romania are onto something

^^ Lol´d

Nowadays Stars is probably just removing the feature to see how many people are watching instead of doing somthing about it.

If Stars can't foresee a potential profit off of security than they have no incentive to investigate.

If the bots, and sne elite theft wasn't enough, this should tell you all you need to know about trusting your money at Pokerstars moving forward with this level of game security/integrity and evasive, deceitful "management"

Is someone at Pokerstars i know is reading this going to take ownership like a man/woman and respond or just hide out until another new account hops in his/her first million spin and donks

Unibet often make "create a new alias" part of the monthly challenge offer for that reason.

So quit PokerStars already or learn to deal.

A third of the threads in NVG must be complaints about Amaya/PokerStars. Do online players do anything but complain? Just leave their ecosystem. Surely there must be better options out there.

?? wtf is the big deal here? There is demand for datamining, so naturally, bots will datamine and getting rid of some datamining sites is obv not the first priority for stars. Or are ur spinEVs negative and ur embarassed that someone finds out how bad a player u are?

Much more worried about all the bots crushing spins than the dataming which ironically can be used to identify said bots

If you read some of the threads you may be able to answer some of your own questions as ridiculous as they are.

I do hope you do this to get some clarity. People (especially a large group) don't generally cause a massive ****storm without merit

I only had one question, do online players do anything but complain?

There is no massive storm unless you think "let's not play for 3 days and then go back to playing" means something. Cash out already or suck it up.

It's dataminers. See this thread in the Zoo from July 2015: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...stars-1543880/

Cliffs: Datamining in Spingos has been going on for a while. Stars knows who is doing it, but hasn't found or implemented a way to permanently prevent it, possibly because they don't care about the problem as much as some players do.

Example sales pitch from a dataminer on another forum:

Anonymous is probably the way to go while still allowing you to keep an image up if you want, but what would become of the Russian economy now that oil prices have collapsed if poker winnings and withdrawals were also curtailed by such measures?
lol....

Why not hide the screenames of people involved in a game? Let only those who are playing the game, sitting at the table, see what the others screenname are. If you are just observing a table without playing then all you could see is the avatar and maybe the first letter of their screenname or something. This would solve the datamining issues without much change in the dynamics of the game.

Seems like a pretty legit solution.

I feel datamining protects the players. Without datamining Potripper and his friends would have a much easier life. Darren Woods on 888 was caught thanks to it, as well as countless bot rings all over the internet. Poker rooms' security is usually a joke, but poker players with samples of mined data can step up and do their job.
