Please be advised that we take a negative stance against any players using an auto seating script and encourage you all to report any players known to be doing so and the names of any such software. We intend to take action against any players found to be using these scripts which can lead to VIP status removal and ultimately account closure.

You acknowledge that We will take measures to detect and prevent the use of such programs and AI Software using methods (including but not limited to reading the list of currently running programs on a player's computer) and You agree not to use any AI Software and/or any such programs. Afaik, tablescan has an auto-seating feature (so auto seating has been commercially available for a while). So are table scanners in general banned (Hem has one built in too) or the auto-seating feature?

I haven't played Party in months (because they are so friggin retarded - what idiotic site allows higher volume regs to scam all other players by allowing them to have more frequent name changes AND ALLOWS THEM TO INSTANTLY TAKE THE OLD SNS OF OTHER PLAYERS?!?) - just curious where the state of Internet poker is headed.

^ think tablescanners just use a poker site's in-client auto-seat feature, which seats you randomly if you use that option

most players don't use it, instead taking a second or two to manually select the seat they want

quite different to revlis87 and the like instantly being sat in direct position to the left of the 'mark' at the table

imo the two are quite different and only the instant auto-seating in direct position in 0.5s script should be banned

other table scanners result in a more natural delay before the table fills up, and it's a variety of player names that the whale sees each time, so it's less predatory/unfair

Tablescan doesn't have an autoseating feature, it can join waitlists or open tables, but you still have to choose the seat yourself

Party clearly has no idea whats going on, and is just listening to a bunch of regs whining. Similar to what they did about warning players about sitting out, when warnings went out to any reported player, whether they actually were doing anything wrong with regards to sitting out or not. This is why some players got warnings simpy because they were reported by someone who didnt like them, and sometimes they hadnt even played on party any time recently or done anything.

Very much so. From setting new rules to enforcement is a big step. The only thing we can do on our end of the commitment is to report players. Ultimately it will be Party's responsibility to enforce and also to make sure that said players are indeed guilty of using said scripts. I still think this is a significant first step tho.
