Hi I've emailed your poker@paddypower email address about some terrible experiences I've had just basically problem after problem with your site in my short couple of days trying it.

Just thought you'd like to know the details so you might be able to improve in the future, I've asked for the email to be sent to you also in the email, so maybe you will get it forwarded also.

For anyone reading considering the promotion the points clear easily took me two days playing very low stakes to clear the book bonus.

Good luck all

Well, I'm back from snowboarding in one piece - Austria is lovely!

Onto poker...we are not releasing full details of the calculations we use for our cash races, as that will just leave us (and our less internet-savvy players) open to be taken advantage of. Many of our competitors similarly keep some of the details of their cash races hidden, as it helps maintain a level playing field with regard high-volume players achieving bonuses.

Hi Hurricane Joe,

Could you forward the email to sent to poker@paddypower to my PM box? We definitely are happy to receive details of areas we can improve in and all constructive criticism is good! Unless it's about me personally of course Glad you found the books bonus easy to clear, we are pretty happy about that programme.

Hi junkanoo,

Cash games at the Irish Open are run by our live events partner, the Jackpot Card Club (based in Dublin city centre during the rest of the year), so I don't have any official info for you. From working at the event last year, I can tell you the tables open quite early each day (around noon) and keep going until well after the tournament play ends - often until the sun comes up.

Something happened on Tuesday I didn't expect. IPoker (and Paddy) corrected the missing date from hand history software glitch!
My compliments to your 'traveling' agents for achieving this!

Ha - I'm glad this got sorted out for you! Sorry for the long wait though, I'm sure it was quite annoying. We are getting more and more things done by iPoker, which is good to report.

Hi Paul,

Just making sure that since PPP is now under the banner of iPoker, is it fully compatible with PokerTracker3?

Some updates from paddypowerpoker.com:

We've launched ECOOP IV, the latest iteration of the European Championship of Online Poker. Made up of 14 tournaments from May 25th - June 7th and with a total guaranteed prizepool of $4.55 million. It is a network-wide promotion with satellites running daily, buy-ins from $1.

We've got some special love for ECOOP, as one of our better-known players, Eoghan 'Intruder123' O'Dea, took down the ECOOP III main event for over $300k a few months ago. Later in that week in December he took part in the Poker Million III live final in London and came 2nd! Not a bad week

Also, 100% hush-hush, we're going to run another sequel to our Back That Ace Up cash race! Expect full details in a few weeks.

We're very busy getting ready for our premier live event, the Irish Open, running from April 9th-13th in Dublin. A number of big name pros have confirmed their attendance during the week, I should have a proper list next week. It's a 'fun' time to be in the office, with giant novelty cheques and dinner menus thrown around while we're also working on the important business of keeping an online poker room running!

Could you send me a PM with a more detailed description of the bonus program if possible?

Also any better offers through affliates for this room?

Thank you.

Paul,

Could I ask, why has iPoker not implemented, say, auto-rebuy? It seems like the simplest thing in the world. On top of which, it must be economically a great idea to automatically put more of a players roll on the table.

So what confuses me is that the regs (us lot) want it, the recreational players probably don't care, and it would be +EV for iPoker. So why on earth are they so slow implementing it?

And auto-rebuy is just one of dozens of these kinds of features they seem soooooooo slow to sort out - resizeable tables, changing default buy-in from 20BB (WTF?????), choice of seat when 2+ seats are free, better filters, one-click waiting list, better notes system etc. etc.

I know you have said that PP puts these things to iP and you have no control over it. That's cool, I understand, I just don't really get why they are so tardy and unresponsive.

Hi Klimpt,

I honestly can't tell you why the timescale for these changes are how they are; though I can say that a lot of iPoker's upgrades are most back-end than front-end focused and they are improving the software. Both resizable tables and auto-rebuy are on the dev list at present.

Thanks,
Paul

By the way - in the last week Tony G, Brian Townsend and Jamie Gold have joined Phil Laak, Marty Smyth and Neil Channing on the growing list of pros playing in the Irish Open in a little over two weeks time...it is going to ROCK!

Dan Harrington the latest pro to confirm for the Irish Open next week - we're up to three WSOP main event champs now Hopefully more will confirm in the next few days.

You can now pay for your seat via a Holding Tank in our software, the cost of a €3,200 + €300 Irish Open main event seat is currently $4,650. Beats carrying all the cash to the open in your back pocket!

I'll have some more Irish Open news later in the week I think - any questions, let me know.

hi paul,

i play on PPP regularly. There is one huge problem which needs resolving fast and thats the Malta based server you are using. Its crap. When I have complained about the server falling out in the past I am told it is because I am using wireless. This is an unacceptable excuse. Soon everyone is going to be using wireless so the problem needs sorting. My connection has fallen out at final tables and the like. Disturbing. OK thanks for listening.
