OT: Full Tilt reimbursement for cheating

Quote:
The Full Tilt Poker Security department has recently concluded an extensive investigation and we have determined that some of your opponents were in violation of our site terms.

We have permanently closed all of the offending accounts. In cases of proven cheating, 100% of the confiscated funds are returned to the players who were victimized. The reimbursement calculation is based on the number of tournaments or hands played against the offending players, and the amount won or lost against them.

We have determined that you are entitled to a refund of $11.03 which will be placed in your account in the next 72 hours.

For a number of reasons, we are unable to provide any other additional information regarding this case, including the players involved and the game type where it occurred. We thank you for your understanding in this regard. The vigilance of our players in reporting suspicious behavior is an important addition to our ongoing diligence against unethical conduct, and we carefully investigate every concern of suspicious activity.

If you believe you have witnessed unfair play at our tables, please don't hesitate to contact us at security@fulltiltpoker.com. If there is any other way we can be of assistance, please let us know.

Did anyone receive this today? I got it at 9am est this morning. Have other people ever had this happen/is it probably for chip dumping on bubble spots and such or something? The amount of reimbursement seems kinda weird.. is it just from the chips I lost from the specific players or something, or how do they calculate that? I play the $24s-$119s, haven't played a single $11 in quite a while.

well if there are 9 people in a sng..... they aren't going to give the other 8 people a full buyin if one out of the 9 are cheating are they? no, they are going to give you PART of that person's buyin. Mystery solved.

I did not get any such email. Glad the cheaters got caught though and you are getting some money back. Justice served when cheaters get caught IMO.

I heard you gain what you lose in cash, was wondering if this were true or not in SnGs or if they just distribute any winnings they had to all of the players in that game considering there doesn't seem to be a way to factor in ICM when awarding prizes.

Re: OT: Full Tilt reimbursement for cheating

I got one (actually 2 they sent me someone else's email in error) this morning. In mine they explain how they figure the reimburse a little better. Does anyone know what happened, just curious? Glad they caught it. I play cash, mtt and sng so I have no idea which game this was on.

Just a note - the one I received in error had a refund of $44.75

Dear DiamondDixie1,

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the previous email you received pertaining to your reimbursement. The correct email should have read:

The Full Tilt Poker Security department has recently concluded an extensive investigation and we have determined that some of your opponents were in violation of our site terms.

The reimbursement calculation is based on the number of tournaments or hands played against the offending players, and the amount won or lost against them.

We have determined that you are entitled to a refund of $5.00 which will be placed in your account in the next 72 hours.

For a number of reasons, we are unable to provide any other additional information regarding this case, including the players involved and the game type where it occurred. We thank you for your understanding in this regard. Re: OT: Full Tilt reimbursement for cheating

I also got this message, but I'll get 5.5$ refund. I play mostly sngs 1$ and 2$ so I think this might be it. I'd be glad if there where some infos which hands or tourneys, because I'd like to review these hands or sth. But the most important thing is that they caught cheaters.

Re: OT: Full Tilt reimbursement for cheating

I have received the same email today and received $13.
I only play 6max NL $100 and the odd multi tourney. If this came from the cash games then i expect they cheated alot more than $13 from me.

strange....
