I did what they told me to. Deleted user.ini, spent 15 minutes changing all the settings back, played 5 minutes and had the same problem again.

Please fix this.

I'm a bit suspicious of this, because I've had exactly the same problems on two different machines, and only after the latest update. Also I can open it in a text editor and don't see anything strange in the file. I'll try deleting the file and manually resetting all my settings tomorrow though...

Same with me, nothing to do with corrupted user.ini IMO. I'm still in contact with support.

Same here. After the last update, I get this error, also, sometimes the graphics get messed up. I completely uninstalled PS with REVO uninstaller, reinstalled, and the problem still persists.

Is there any point in emailing support?

Yes, the more people that do means they will give it higher priority, also you can send your log files to them via the software (Menu: Help -> Log files -> Send log files to support) so they have more info to work with.

Got an answer pretty quickly:

Hello xxx,

Thank you for getting in touch, please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.

We are currently investigating the issue and everything should be back to normal very soon. In the meantime, please allow us to thank you for your patience. Rest assured that our programming team is working hard on this very issue at this moment.

Have a wonderful day, mr. xxx, and thank you for playing at PokerStars!

Kind regards,

Filipp

I have the same issue with the low system resources. If anybody still wants/needs to play with that issue, I think you can do because it seems to only be a communication and graphical error in the client but I couldn't play near my a-game.

So to open tables or accept your waitlisted tables. Force the error message and then press control+9 (I guess all hotkeys that rearrange tables will work) then the table will appear. Sometimes it will appear white then you have to move it with your mouse and you will see it kind of correctly.

But this way you will have some issues like:
- cards and buttons might appear on different positions in different sizes
- you are able to open the same table multiple times
- you are able to open a table you are playing at also as an observer
- the sit out next bb on all tables function might not work properly
- when you close a table you might need to close it twice to disappear from your screen although you see in the lobby that you already left it
- you might be able to click the waitlist button in the lobby for tales you are already sitting at and will get some error message

You could also do a workaround to the error message in sitting out on all of your tables and then kill the stars process with the taskmanager (this way you dont get kicked off the tables) and restart stars. This way you will not have the issue (at least for the next 10 minutes in my case) but be aware that by killing the stars process your player notes you made in that session are not saved.

You can do PS backup (there is a backup folder) and start ps directly (not psupdate.exe). Works for me so far.

I've got the low system resource crash too (on stars.fr).

First tech response was: it's the user file. No, it wasn't.

Second tech response: it's your PC that's infected and they gave me a bunch of steps to follow to cleanup. No, it wasn't.

3rd tech response: theirs nothing I can do, it's highest priority as it's effecting an important player base, no timeline for resolution. Beertime.

Wow, is the latest download taking anyone else an especially long time? It's already been 15 minutes, and the status bar is showing as only about 15% complete. Am not downloading anything else, or using my computer in any other way either, except to surf 2+2.

Was hoping to do the play with Rafa thing in *forty* minutes - will be bummed if I can't get the PokerStars to open up by then. Is there anyway to leave the update until later?

Same here , it reached about 25% then went back to the start. Been about 30mins now and it looks stuck on 25%.

I was getting that low system resource message earlier today when playing. I was unable to open any new tables.

I cant find any update or news about the issues from pokerstars. Nothing on there site , twitter or blog. Apparently theres 183k players online now tho so it may not be a problem for everyone?

+1
Been waiting at least half an hour, only about 25% complete.

We are looking into this. We decided to roll back the update to allow developers more time to investigate the low systems resources error, but it appears that this has triggered another issue in terms of this update taking longer to serve to players.

I had downloaded the updates a little while ago and I even came on here to see if anyone was talking about it.

At that time, there was not one post so I figured it was on my end somehow.

Mine got to about 85% and just sat there. I just ended up hitting cancel and them starting it again, it zipped up to the 85% very quickly and then took about 40 seconds for the rest/back up/end.

Maybe try just canceling it and re-doing it.

Worked for me. Or just ride it out, either way I am sure it will be ok.

EDIT: I just see PS replied to this, so I would just be content to ride it out since this appears to be "normal" for everyone.

Yeah, was sure it wasn't me, but was worried someone would say it was me if I came here to post that it was slow

The blue progress bar seems to be making progress now - it's still slower than any other update, ever. But when I logged into 2+2 to make this post, it was just approaching the 'P' of PokerStars, and now it's starting to make it's way under the spade.

Hopefully it's getting there ...

Posting here just to say Im having the same problems. Yesterday I was forced to update and everythign went smoothly. Half way thru my session(16-20 tables) I started getting grey translucent "News" boxes popping up over a few of my tables, usually on new MTTs that just loaded. Then I also had the low resource issue when trying to observe some tables. Also had low resources when trying to load the last hand replayer. I also had duplicate tables loaded the same game, one with my hole cards showing, one without my hole cards showing.

This afternoon I was forced to update again, and its been over and hour and my update is pretty much stalled.

I'm having the same problem with the update, seems frozen on about 15%, what should I do pokerstars, wait?

Also I'm from australia, where are some of you guys from that are experiencing a similar problem?

Also, any way for you to run the client without an update (could someone explain that please).
