Re: Official Rush Poker Thread

Pro's

- Multitabling is easier, more hands per hour = more $$ per hour
- Fish can now multitable easily and lose money faster
- Games might become more loose/aggressive? - Every hand becoming a hit and run type situation?

Con's

- Fish can now multitable eassily and lose money faster - bad for longevity of poker in general
- We can't develop reads on a player because we can't take notes on him after the action
- A HUD can't work because we change tables after every hand and the HUD needs at least 1 hand to kick in, so as a bonus I can't use any of the reads I currently have
- It will be a complete nitfest because we can simply fold every hand we don't like before it's even our turn and immediatly get a new one, even the 100% VPIP fish can now nit it up
- We can't use ANYTHING complex such as table dynamics, reads, tilting players, etc, etc, so all we have to do is look at our cards and act accordlingy

Bad so far, add or takeaway from pro's or cons as you please.

Depends. If the player pool stays at around 200 players or less you'll eventually have notes/reads on many of the players and can play accordingly.

And, how does the rake even work in this game? God, I hope it's not the same.

You know what, never mind my post. I don't even know anything about this game yet.

All the fish are away from the ring games now. I hope this fad will fade and people return to the normal games.

Re: Official Rush Poker Thread

i don't like the big blind posting policy. this way guys who are playing really fast and nitty are getting an edge. they should make it random like the other positions.

btw guys, complete hand histories of hands that you folded and instantly moved to another table are saved after they are completed.

Re: Official Rush Poker Thread

Well, I thought I'd give it a quick 10 min sesh. As people have said, it's not poker but I can tell you it's good fun if you haven't tried it before. There are a lot of fish on there who only bet if they have something and check if they have nothing - so, to a certain extent you can play poker on a very low level against them. The game obviously rewards tightness - I'm a typical short handed player with ave VPIP but for this 9-handed Rush game I folded anything that wasn't a PP or AJ+.

I do recommend you give it a try if you haven't already - just for a laugh at least.

It's really, really bad.

+FT is ultra-rigged. Got it in 3 times ahead in Rush and lost, quickest 3 buyins I've ever lost.

Re: Official Rush Poker Thread

To those whining about it being a nitfest, what do you do when your opponent is a nit, hint, the answer isn't "complain on the internet".
