Re: Official Rush Poker Thread
Everyone stop whining about Hold'em. Come try out Rush Pot Limit Omaha high Low. Hands hold up in that game. And we need to increase the player pool. I kinda promise that if you have AA (suited and with a 2) you probably won't go home empty handed.

test this out if you think im bsing, i dont have charting programs and whatever, but i guarantee you, 2 tables will come out showing alot more playable hands than 1 table.
rush poker is rigged i swear, multitablers are favored

Did you realize that the table on the left always catches better cards then the table on the right? i will experiment with opening two tables ONLY at the left side of the screen...

I can absolutely assure you that the best hands in rush holdem hold up the percentage they are supposed to. This is based on just over 100,000 hands.

Re: Official Rush Poker Thread
Shhhh, I'm trying to increase the Rush PLO8 pool. Lets try this instead, in Rush PLO8 the variance will be less than Rush Holdem.

Re: Official Rush Poker Thread
I really can't understand why people keep posting things like "Rush is rigged" in this thread. There is a specific thread for this kind of discussion, isn't there? And there is no doubt those discussions belong there, and not here, right? So I see two options to those "this is rigged" guys: stop posting here or stop playing Rush. What's the point about playing a rigged game?
About the bad beats an etc, I think it is borderline. We are all new to the game, since the game is new, and there is no other way to find out if hands discussion will be differente in Rush - the way is posting hands till we all realize there is no difference.

I suppose that minraising is fine in EP if you have a very wide range AND the tables are ridiculously nitty, but I don't see that happening for most people. It is better and more profitable it would seem to never minraise in EP and again, in micro games, I don't see it being too valuable in LP either, outside of a very few situations that are opponent specific.
|
But the point about minraising preflop in Rush is not "forcing" a mistake, but rather taking advantage of the quick folders. If you raise 3x or 3,5x and get reraised, you will loose more than if you raise 2x and reraised and have to fold. I think it is quite profitable to do that. And you can of course raise properly with good hands so you make value from them. And you can vary a litle so people won't know that your minraise means garbage hand trying cheap steal.

Re: Official Rush Poker Thread
Not that I really care since I don't play NL, but just so that there's some semblance of Rush discussion that doesn't make me want to shoot myself in the head, how has the NL Player pool held up? Is Rush cannibalizing the regular games?
And you all seem to have enough limit variation for this not to be a big deal, but for those of you that play the highest limit of NL, have you noticed any higher limit (for which Rush isn't available) regs drop down because of the higher # of hands/hour they can get, such that their hourly is higher at the lower limit?
It doesn't seem to be something that a lot of the fixed limit Rush regs seem to have realized (which is fine with me.)

Re: Official Rush Poker Thread
I switched from 2/4 thru 5/10 on Stars to playing rush. Originally just did it as a change of pace, but I really find myself playing rush games more and my reg games much less.
The results have not been worth it so far, but play is on avg pretty bad and rakeback can make even a break even session at least worth the time.
I really do have a hard time playing the slower ring games, and find that about 60% I and playing rush despite aggrevating chart and adaptability issues.
